Remember back in 2014 when Kaepernick received a contract paying him $19 million simply for starting at quarterback on a loaded team for 1.5 years. Also Mr. "Blackballed from the NFL" and Mr. "Sacraficed everything" still got nearly $2.5 million from the 9ers in dead money for doing nothing last year. He lives in a country that allows him to make all that money for accomplishing relatively little yet he wants to complain about US oppression while wearing a Castro shirt.
It was actually a really good spot.
They even twisted the knife for everyone a bit by having a big ole flag waving on the building wall behind Kap. That's some solid trolling right there.

Yeah, remove him (who had nothing in common with those spotlighted) and it's a great piece.
My take is that Kap's presence in the add only pisses the viewer off if they want to be triggered by it. But, that is only my opinion and individual mileage and reactions will vary.

Tiger Woods responded favorably to Nike's ad featuring Colin Kaepernick that ran for the first time during Thursday night's season-opening NFL game, saying, "It's a beautiful spot."
Woods is a longtime Nike endorser who started with the company on the day he turned professional in 1996.
