Good thing Landry Jones is cut since he was the 4th best QB on this roster

I do not understand why Mark Madden lost his mind on the release of Jones.

Well Jones was pretty bad his first two years(2013 & 2014). Only started showing signs of a potential #2 in 15'.

Madden is only worthy of following if you are a Penguins fan.

The games where Landry Jones filled in for Ben, that didn't involve a virtually meaningless game against the Browns were 2015 in Kansas City and 2016 against New England. The Steelers lost both games. Landry threw a horrid red zone INT in the latter.

His other "win" was against the Browns in 2015. Where he played a series, got hurt, never came back, Ben stepped in and won the game.

Landry Jones' highest moment was coming off the bench against the Cardinals and throwing two TD's to Bryant. That was as good as he was going to get, and he was never that good ever again.

Compare Charlie Batch, who came in and won a big time game in Baltimore in 2012 to keep the Steelers postseason hopes alive (Before they fell apart of course).

I get it, not every guy is going to be a Nick Foles or Jeff Hostetler, but you gotta have a backup who can come in and make plays and make things happen. A guy who can inspire and create hope for the team. Landry wasn't getting it done.

I am soooooo happy Landry Jones is gone! I was sick and tired of our mediocrity at the backup QB position. I'm excited about our future with the QBs we now have.

2008, Leftwith gave us the victory against the redskins, but the standing would have been the same at the end, even if we would have lost this game.

2010, we started the season with Dennis Dixon .... no experience, we won his 2 games and one in that it was with 21 passing yards net for the entire team against the titans ...

2005 .... please, Maddox cost us 1 game (Jaguars) maybe even 2...

If we go in 2015, the steelers were with the experience with Vick and they were very lucky that it is not a disaster ... Jones with no experience at this time allowed to be 2-2 instead of 1-3 ( with a lucky win against the chargers) with his game against the cards.


I prefer the talent instead of mediocrity even if the talent are rookies.

So the Steelers just officially announced the signing of Berhe. Adeniyi is heading to IR and will be eligibe to return in Week 6.

Finally we got rid of Landry Jones. YES!!! Best riddance since Antwon Blake!

For the undrafted Linemen... I put that hugely on Munchak. He just makes Linemen so much better.
