Lots of weed shops in Oakland.

Have to wait until after the 3rd round to know who we traded for. I was for this trade before, I am for it now. Just can't judge it until it's finished. May not know until next year.
That is the best part of it all. Next year Bryant would not be re signed and whoever the Steelers draft in the 3rd most likely will. They traded away a guy that thought he was entitled to be the #2 WR, when he was actually 4th in receptions on the team (7 more than Jesse James) and he wasn't in the future plans anyways. Great move by Colbert.
Yeah, Bryant was really going to be a no-win situation for us after this season. If he played well enough that we'd want to keep him, then we be in the unenviable position of trying to work out a diva-sized contract for a guy who's a serious risk to go full T.O., or be out of the league for good without a moment's notice. We'd want to build in something to protect ourselves from the risk and he wouldn't want to, he'd demand to get the same deal as any top WR who's not one bong hit away from involuntarily calling it a career, and so that would be that and he'd go sign somewhere else anyway.
See you Space Cowboy ...

I hope we use the extra 3rd for a quality TE. I was starting to think we'd grab the first TE off the board, right before the Ravens did.
Glad he's gone. Dude had a really entitled, narcissistic attitude for a guy that was given as many chances as he was. Pretty douchey of him to call the trade a "blessing" after he left as well. Should've been "Sorry I was such a jackass, thank you to those who still believed in me even when I was acting a fool, thanks to Ben for trying to motivate me, and to Coach T and the organization for giving me second and third chances".
Bye Felicia. Draft Pettis, or Washington and fill Martavis' role.

"If I could start my life all over again, I would be a professional football player, and you damn well better believe I would be a Pittsburgh Steeler." Jack Lambert, 1990 HoF Introduction.
Agreed - in addition to the possibility of a marijuana relapse, with Bryant in a contract year I have zero confidence he would last an entire season without being disruptive as the #3 wide receiver behind AB and JuJu in addition to more targets potentially going to McDonald
WOW the trade caught me by surprise and, in the long run it's probably for the best. Still a shame what the offense could have been if Bryant would not have wasted a year with the suspension this offense could have been almost unstoppable. Let's hope we can get a good return for this trade.
I'm tired of watching Ben walk off the field shaking his head after an attempt to Bryant on 3rd down. Glad this chapter is closed.
Who would have thought that the first WR acquired during the draft was Bryant, (lol)
Steelers got good value for Bryant, but gave it up by reaching for their #1 pick. Hopefully the pick will make the team.

Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar
Would like Silverandblack's reaction

You are right. The Bryant trade was shrewd while the #1 pick was another where they may have outsmarted themselves again. I was expecting something more conventional and if there was a reach it might have been better for an OLB or DL. I understand the logic in the selection, but it looks like another high risk project.
The 3rd round pick just might pan out better with a more traditional talent for a position in need.
So far it isn't looking like 1974.

And they drafted his replacement
I think the Mason Rudolph pick is the trade pick.
