Let's go Pens!!!
This Conference bracket system is kinda strange... I'm so used to the top 8 seeded by points playing the highest/lowest pairing. 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7 etc.
Pens will have to win their division based on the 1st two rounds, then would play the winner of the Atlantic.
So, this will be what our 1st round matchup would have been in previous years...

BIG comeback tonight. 1-0 Pens!
That was one Exciting game, had me on the edge of my seat the whole game.
Entertaining game and great, quick comeback
Caps fans must watch playoff games against the Pens with the sense of dread we have when the Steelers play the Patriots - no lead is ever safe and something terrible will happen
A little nervous through the first two periods. Great comeback and start to round 2!
down 1-0 already ... here is a feed is anyone needs one

Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now
Let's get this ship turned around tonight. Go Pens!
Frustrating game - as we learned with the Steelers, regular season deficiencies on defense (allowing odd man rushes, erratic play by Letang & Murray) do not magically get fixed when it is playoff time
Pens facing a must win Thursday night
Tweet of the night
Murray definitely looks like he's fighting it... not controlling rebounds and making the easy glove squeeze he usually makes. Been off his angle a bit as well. Couple of those goals have been "soft" imo. He's not been as sharp as he's been, but it's a different series and the Caps are bringing more physicality... not even counting the cheap hits. (I believe Wilson will have a hearing today for that one last night) This is more what I expected out of Philly to get us off our game, and it seems to be serving them better.
All this is not to say we are not getting our chances. We are right in this. Holtby has been great for them. When we are not ringing off the post, or shooting right into his mitt, he's making some amazing stops. Definitely need to get the split Thursday. Not many chances coming back from 3-1 as the road team.

There's a video of the play in the middle of this article.
Hopefully Wilson's hit gives the Pens the spark needed to take this series.
The officiating has been horrible this series. Even the announcers are saying the same thing. No penalty on Wilson's hits should have been a 4 minute major and thrown out of the game. No call on the tripping that lead to the game winning goal and then last night no penalty called on Holtby for tripping. I can understand missing a call here and there but the one by Holtby was blatantly obvious and yet there was no call.
Great teams overcome bad officiating but if this was an even playing field this series could easily be Pens up 3-1 in the series.
Much better effort last night... they needed that one. Still not a fan of guys standing around in spots not challenging the puck. They seemed to change that a little by the 3rd period.
Ryan Shazier celebrates after the Pittsburgh Penguins scored an empty-net goal in a 3-1 win against the Washington Capitals.

I hate the Caps more every day. My Northern Virginia frat brothers from college whine more than SeaChicken fans.

Dammit. Oh well, 100+ game seasons have to wear on a team after a while. Really sucks to lose on home ice, though.
Guess I'll pull for Vegas from here on out since Fleury is in net for them.
Sucks they lost, but no shame in losing following back-to-back Stanley cups. Plus it's really hard to beat the same team in a series 3 years in a row
Great run for these guys. Sucks to lose to the Crapitals but they didn't go down easily.
