I'd rather have Ridley than Frenchy.
Pass blocking/protection, Special teams, not a bad runner of the FB.
Fitz has a roster spot for those first two reasons alone.

Good to hear we have the Landry Jones of rb's back again for another year. Now if we can only sign DHB for another year. People thinking Steelers are not on top of FA!
All I can think about when I hear his name is THAT fumble against Denver!
Give a lib a fish--he eats for a day
Teach a lib to fish--he is back the next day asking for more free fish.

If we are down to Toussaint then run for the exits to beat the traffic.
All Defense!
Super Bowl!
Signed out of necessity really. Need better backs though

Could Stevan Ridley be a part of the solution should Le'Veon Bell get off to a slow start in 2018?

Ridley is pretty much what you'd expect in a backup RB; I mean, he's not great but he's ok. That's what a backup is.
Touissant I don't even know why we're bothering with at this point. You want two backup RBs, a dependable veteran (Ridley) and an up-and-coming guy with potential, which is Conner at this point. Frenchy is neither of those things anymore.
See you Space Cowboy ...
Are fans really complaining about the signing of a RB to a 1 year deal where he will compete for a roster spot?
He is a veteran special teamer, a grinder, good in pass protection and has absolutely no guarantee that he makes the 53 man roster. Cant wait until the Steelers sign a #4 QB for training camp.
I see him as a current day Fred McAfee. He is a core special teamer and a guy that is a better blocker and inside runner than McAfee was. Yeah he can play RB if needed, but if anybody looks at the number of carries he has had in the NFL, they will know that he isn't counted on that often as a rusher.
