Steelers CB depth chart: Checking the position pre-free agency

Only one of the cornerbacks who played for the Steelers in 2015 remains on the team. And even there, by the skin of his sub package skill set and middling cap hit.

The position has been salvaged by NFL scrap heap signings, reinforced by a marquee free agent that fell into Pittsburgh's collective lap and ultimately transformed since the Steelers made the divisional round playoffs in an extremely soft zone two seasons ago. It's a more highlighted and potentially exposed spot in the defense than it was when the team leaned on Valentino née Antwon Blake, Ross Cockrell and the still-aging William Gay.

If we can hold these guys and see if Bradley can improve what we already have, I think we're okay. Hayden is a must for at least another year, but the youth has shown promise.
