    Quick NFL Preview: AFC

Hello, I decided this year to do a quick preview of each team in the NFL saying a small blurb about their outlook, I am starting with the AFC

AFC: Last year the AFC was as bad as either conference has been since the mid 00s and this year looks even worse. There's maybe 2 or 3 teams that look like contenders. This conference is a dumpster fire

Bills: Last year they were one of the 5 worst teams to make the playoffs in NFL history. Don't count on them making it back this year with this QB room. I think Josh Allen will bust

Dolphins: A 6-10 that jettisoned probably their 2 best players this offseason. Another forgettable year in south beach

Patriots: They are looking as vulnerable as they ever been. At 41, Brady's ability is due to drop off a cliff any game now and the o-line and defense are both questionable. However with Bellichick still around and the rest of the conference a dumpster fire, at worst 14 other AFC teams will shit all over themselves and they make the AFC Championship game by default, if they don't make the Super Bowl by default, moreso if Brady manages to continue strong

Jets: This team would be lucky to go 8-8 with Aaron Rodgers having an MVP caliber year, this team is going nowhere

Ravens: They looked good at times last year and they added some offensive weapons, but Flacco is still a major liability and the defense folded at the worst time last year. I'm also not sold on Lamar Jackson

Bengals: Still have Mike Brown? Check. Still have Marvin Lewis? Check. Great you guys aren't going anywhere. Have fun wasting another year of AJ Green's prime

Browns: Lot of hype surrounding this team coming off an 0-16 based mainly off of signing a mediocre QB, a borderline top 12 RB, and a top 10 WR. Of course, the winners of March usually don't win much in the fall anyway. Wake me up when this team does something

Steelers: You look at the fact that this team returns 9 pro bowlers from last year, has a future HOF QB, the best WR, a top tier OL, and a top 3 at worst RB (provided he actually shows up) and you think they should be the favorites in this weak as shit conference. Then you remember the defense is mediocre at best, the LB corp is a dumpster fire, and most of the porous coaches from last year weren't fired and the big question comes who will eliminate them in the AFC playoffs and which QB will have a field day against them in that game

Texans: Looking at how DeShawn Watson played last year and some of the top heavy talent they have, at first glance, this may be a potential Super Bowl contender. Problem is, their best players are injury prone, last year showed they have no depth, and Bill O Brien is not a good NFL head coach.

Colts: If Andrew Luck ever plays a full 16 season ever again, they can return to skating through the weak AFC South before getting bounced by a team with a real supporting cast around it's QB. Until that time, I'll assume they are going nowhere

Jaguars: This is a true wildcard in the AFC. Either that defense continues to dominate and they return to the AFC Championship game because the other 14 AFC teams not named the Patriots shit all over themselves and possibly even beat the Pats this time, or they crumble while having to deal with expectations, the defense takes a step back after showing vulnerability, and having Blake Bortles as a QB catches up to them, and they miss the playoffs entirely

Titans: Marcus Mariota showed signs of regression and the team wasn't as good as their record last year. They still could make the playoffs with how bad the conference is, but with what Mariota showed last year, his proneness to injury, and with that below average defense, they aren't contending for a Super Bowl

Broncos: If Chubb can live up to the hype, this may be the most devastating pass rush duo. Unfortunately there are other areas on the team. The defense got worse having traded Aqib Talib and most of the defenders from the Super Bowl team are gone. Vance Joseph is a bad NFL coach. It's hard to criticize the offense, but that's because there's hardly an offense to criticize. The o-line in particular consists of just 5 traffic cones. No way Keenum doesn't regress in this offense

Chiefs: Lot of talk about annointing Patrick Mahomes and annointing the Chiefs Super Bowl contenders because of Mahomes despte the fact that he's barely played in the NFL. Even if he lives up to the hype Andy Reid is a playoff choker and the defense got worse having lost Marcus Peters. Have fun choking in the playoffs again Kansas City

Chargers: This team could actually dethrone the Patriots and win the AFC, IF they can manage to put it together for a season. They have arguably the most talent in the AFC. The defense is one of the best in the game, Phillip Rivers is still capable, and Keenan Allen is a top tier WR. They have the best combo of a QB-defense in the league. Of course they need to show they can put it all together

Raiders. Your head coach hasn't coached a down of football in 10 years and you guys barely did anything to address that black hole of a defense last year. Thanks for the 3rd and getting Bryant off the team's chest btw

Overall: It's likely we get the same shit as last year with the Patriots with their vulnerability win the AFC by default because literally no one else in the conference steps up. The AFC is going to be a snooze fest this year.
