Bengals owner believes their 'talent level is equivalent' to Steelers

"In my heart of hearts we should have done a little better than we did (in that game), but I don’t have the feeling the player level was the determining factor in the game. Things conspired against us. I believe our talent level is equivalent to Pittsburgh."

    Say what now?....

LOL, just keep believing that and keep giving Lewis those contract extensions.

Exactly - if the talent level is equivalent but you keep losing WTF is the justification for bringing Marvin back

Well, he obviously believes he has an equivalent coach as well.

So if the Bengals don't have talent equivalent to the Steelers then they have somewhat of an excuse for losing. If the Steelers have the superior talent then why are they watching the SB again? Coaching?

The Steelers appear to have a tough schedule next season. They need to fix the problems on defense. Tomlin is the HC and DC. Can he fix it?

They should cut Porter. Butler should be let go too. I'm not sure why he is on the team if Tomlin is the DC. Lake hasn't made much progress with the DBs. Same mistakes being made.

That's the $64,000 question. If Tomlin doesn't make any significant changes to what we are doing on defense, I think the final results will probably be the same.

Honestly that Bengals team is stacked with talent, but they are chronic underachievers because of their own stupidity.

With the talent they have they should be at least a 10-6 or 11-5 squad and be contenders. However, like I said, they're pretty stupid

The Bengals do have some players I wouldn't mind seeing switch over to the Black and Yellow. Top to bottom their talent is probably comparable. Difference is their elite players are not as good as our elite players.

If the Steelers are superior to the Bengals why aren’t they in the Super Bowl??? I’m not sure that’s a great argument.

What else do you expect him to say?

The Bengals will never sniff a SB because profit is the priority in every decision made about the team all the way down to purchasing office supplies.
