Teams complain to NFL that Packers violated IR rule with Rodgers

    http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...dgers-released

Multiple teams complained to the NFL last week that the Packers violated the rules regarding players who are eligible to be placed on injured reserve -- and that Green Bay should have to release quarterback Aaron Rodgers as a result, league sources told ESPN.NFL rules stipulate that a player needs to have suffered a new injury that would sideline him at least six weeks to be placed on injured reserve. If that is not the case, the team is obligated to release the player once he is healthy.

It would be funny as Hell if they had to release Rodgers but I'm sure that the NFL won't do anything since the Packers are one of the favored teams.

This will get brushed under the carpet...would be good for the Browns though. Pick up Rodgers off waivers, re-sign Terrelle Pryor and then the first round pick and another at 8-ish is it? Would be a nice off season...

Nothing will come of this. With all the s**t the NFL is getting about catches and index cards, the last thing they want is a controversy over a team losing their franchise QB over something like this...lol.

Using Rodgers and Browns in the same sentence would be enough to ruin him!

You knew that it would be. Pretty pathetic. It's just like how JuJu's hit was blasted all over every website and social media outlet but the hit by Thomas Davis a week later barely even made the news.
