Your Steelers Week 10 Report Card?

With the Steelers returning from their bye to capture a last-second win against a wounded Colts team, the faculty and staff at BTSC filled out report cards based on the team's performance. Join us and see just how they graded out.

    Offense: C

    Valedictorian: Ben Roethlisberger

Honor Roll: Martavis Bryant, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Vance McDonald

Detention: Le'Veon Bell, Offensive Line, Todd Haley

The game plan was unimaginative and predictable, but when it came to crunch time, Road Ben became Super Ben and gave Steelers Nation the drive they've hungered for all season. AB was pedestrian throughout the game, but he came up huge when it counted. JuJu is becoming a given lately and even Martavis came alive and hopefully realized his worth to the team.

    Defense: B

Losing Joe Haden hurts, but it's not for the year and Pittsburgh’s secondary depth is better than in past seasons. The second-half defensive line looked imposing as Bud Dupree caught fire and Ryan Shazier made a crazy/beautiful pick late in the game. But T.J. Watt struggled and the secondary looked terrible on two 60-plus TDs. But everybody buckled down in the second half.

    Valedictorian: Nobody

Honor Roll: Bud Dupree, Ryan Shazier, Vince Williams, The entire second half D-Line

    Detention: T.J. Watt, Artie Burns

    Special Teams: C

Chris Boswell had one of his worst games as a Steeler, but Berry and James helped save the game with their hustle on the blocked extra point.

    Valedictorian: None

Honor Roll: Jesse James and Jordan Berry

    Detention: Chris Boswell

    Overall: C+
A win is a win. Most fans are waiting for the bottom to drop out, but will it? This team thrives on drama and turmoil. It's not the way we'd choose to write the book, but as long as there's a happy ending...all will be well.

Watt definitely went MIA. Need that guy to get over the rookie wall and finish with 5-6 sacks. Maybe JJ can help him break things down since he has nothing to do .

Edit: to be clear, 5-6 MORE sacks.

Watt is starting a troubling pattern of losing contain on his side. His instinct seems to be to break every pass rush to the middle. Teams might start using that against him...hopefully it is just rookie stuff?

That report card looks like some tough grading, or lack of watching interior Line play.

IMO, Heyward and Tuitt had strong games and were worthy of just being judged as good in the 2nd half.

Heyward has been playing at a ridiculous level. There were several plays where he blew the play up driving his man back into the backfield.I️

Yeah, so true! But according to that BTSC link.....he only played well in the 2nd half.

Tough grading, indeed. Glad these weren't the results of the Holiday Theme papers. Otherwise, Ralphie must equal JuJu.
