While fighting ALS, Dwight Clark just wanted to see his teammates once more

I had no idea he was sick. Back in the days when I watched all NFL games, "The Catch" was just an unbelievable legendary play, putting a dagger in the hated Cowboys' hearts.

Wish him well. He was a clutch receiver for the Niners/Montana.

    Thanks for posting

"When Keena Turner [San Francisco's vice president of football affairs] asked me what I wanted to do, whether raise money or have some kind of function, I said I just want to see my teammates, and the 49ers heard that and flew all these players in so I could see them one more time."

The 49ers are a messed up franchise these days but that was classy.
