If I ran my business like the Cleveland Browns I would be driving a garbage truck.

Most likely, but this was in the cards for the Browns for a long time. Everyone knew it was coming and they'll most likely get relief from some of that salary once another team picks him up and gives him the vet minimum.

They had the cap space so they used it in essence to buy two draft picks. Not a terrible thing for a floundering franchise...

Yeah, this was nothing but an NBA-style salary dump. Eat a fat contract in exchange for picks or prospects. Frowned upon in the NFL, and usually harder because of dead-money complications, but the way they did it was within the rules. Not a bad use of cap space that would otherwise most likely just go to overpay someone who wasn't worth it.

The problem with this is that the steelers had a better player (Boykin) on the bench and in the month of December the steelers were much better with Boykin on the field and Blake on the bench than the opposite and, the best example it was the week 15 against Denver where our defense had the worst half I saw of my life in defense by the steelers in first half with Blake on the field (and it was against a very mediocre offense)but that in the second half with Blake on the bench , the steelers have given 0 points!
