This defense will be easy work for the Pats.
We're already down 14-0 to them, and the season hasn't even started yet.

1. Graham Barton, C, Duke 2. Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida 3. Maason Smith, DT, LSU 3. Max Melton, CB, Rutgers 4. Blake Fisher, OT, Notre Dame 6. Tommy Eichenberg, ILB, Ohio State 6. MJ Devonshire, CB, Pittsburgh
Good News. The Defense held to a field goal.
Bad News. The Offense is back on the field. Time for more uninspired playcalling.
Hardly the starting defense.
Golden
Matekavich
Chickillo
Watt
That takes Mitchell, Dupree, Shazier, and maybe Deebo off the field. That's the primary playmakers.
So far what I see is that Robert Golden can't cover (no surprise). Chickillo still has no real pass rush moves (no surprise here either). The pairing of Matekavich and WIlliams is readily victimized over the middle in the pass game (not a surprise either)
How are they gonna stop Derek Carr or tom Brady in the playoffs when they can't even stop a 3rd stringer
2 times they go at Cockrell. 20 yard gain he let's the guy catch the ball then a tackle w/ safety help. Slant in the end zone gets beat and receiver drops the ball. Yeah he's a top 40 CB. Please! The only thing he is good at is tackling a guy after he catches the ball. How many times to you recall him playing the ball or breaking up a pass????
Dobbs is already better than Landry Jones.
Dobbs has no fear. Landry Jones is a chickenshit.
If there has been anything consistently crappy besides the Defense this preseason, it's been the Offensive line.
Y'all need to get off the ledge here. Its preseason.
Miracle happened james got at least 1 yac of course it was called back
Knile Davis is gonna mess around and make this team.
Frenchy LeCafe better update his resume!
3rd down conversion coming

Cockrell sucks
Cockrell burned again.
This poor dude really regressed.
Cockrell had to decline, he was not this bad last year besides the Pats game.

Teams are going to attack ILBs, Shazier better stay healthy.
1. Graham Barton, C, Duke 2. Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida 3. Maason Smith, DT, LSU 3. Max Melton, CB, Rutgers 4. Blake Fisher, OT, Notre Dame 6. Tommy Eichenberg, ILB, Ohio State 6. MJ Devonshire, CB, Pittsburgh
ST looks good!
Golden looked way late/way short in playing deep help.
Also - allegations of VInce WIlliams coverage ability were TOTALLY overrated.
2 falcons drop a away from holding them to a fg
no game plans

cockrell beat for 45

45 yds 3rd string QB an a WR that won't touch the field

Ross Cockrell is a liability

Cockrell gives up another 11 yds
Sutton needs to return and hopefully catch on quickly.
Cockrell has to figure it out. He is playing horrible.
Where is Mike Hilton? the trigger to replace Gay needs to happen. He doesn't fit the direction of this defense. (unless there is no direction, just talk)

They should make the Trumaine Johnson trade.

I wonder if the coaches are seeing how badly Cockrell is getting beat?
Offense is moving which is good
Damn Conner
“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest. If you can't take it, you shouldn't play!” - Jack Lambert
Dobbs again escapes pressure and finds an open guy downfield, Connor just drops it
I'm not concerned with the Offense. Ben isn't out there, he's the General.

Special Teams looking solid!
Catch that ball Hilton!
“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest. If you can't take it, you shouldn't play!” - Jack Lambert
Joshua Dobbs and Mike Hilton have been standout.
Everything else...meh...
Yeah. Knile Davis looks okayish on special teams.
Also the success of the special teams is certainly hurting DHB's argument for having to be on the roster.
Watt looks solid in doing basic OLB things - just not much juice in the rush today.
Tuitt is going to have a monster year!
