Interesting
They looked at him last year. Didn't he fail the injury test?
next thing ya know we will be calling up Cortez but not sure a medical check will reveal anything on him as I think its a mostly mental ( like sweed) ...
hate to say it but we should have snagged another CB instead of Conner in rd 3 , Conner would have been there in rd 4 maybe even 5
King would have been on my card , you get a slot cover man day 1 who can potentially still play outside if need be ( not desired height ) but no question he could transition to FS and has proven ball hark ability ..... maybe I like him to much IDK 32 teams did pass 3 times but they have been known to be wrong before too ... its just my perspective maybe I am wrong time will tell
I would rather have had King also. While Conner is a great story, I don't agree that we necessarily know what he can do. Will his body ever fully recover from cancer and the treatments? That's far from a given. He won't necessarily ever be the same player that he was previously. We could've gotten him at least a round later if we really wanted him.

Keenan was horribly unappreciated during his time here. Loved him. You know were serious about being good in man coverage when were desperate enough to go after Keenan, who has been injury prone as hell ever since he left. Ill take him if things check out though
Cool. Lewis and Golson can sit around and swap stories about what is used to be like to play football.
pass
KNOCKIN ON 7'S DOOR!
Sure, but taking him as a backup would afford him greater durability, I'd think. As a CB, he was good when he left here. I think as the 4th or 5th CB he'd be far, far more than adequate. In fact, I'd be surprised if he couldn't beat out Cockrell on day one. So, to have him on the bench as a backup would be great.
I would be very happy if Lewis is healthy and signs with the steelers.
I'd be okay with him and also grabbing Revis as well.
Does this mean the Steelers are going to be forced to order an extra large box of sweat pants for sideline duty?
CBs look like a much stronger group tonight than they did a week ago. Safety not so much. Gay, Golson, Sutton, Burns, Cockrell and Sensabaugh can all play slot or outside. New guy Allen, at 6'3" will play outside. I wonder if there are plans on trying Allen as a BallHawk FS at times as well.
Obviously there were reasons this guy was there in the 5th, with his measurables. Going to need some coaching and patience, but the potential is there. With his WR skills and knowledge of the route tree, he would make a pretty good FS. If he's lacking in skill as a CB, it's most likely in coverages. If he can make a spot on ST, I think he will make it eventually.
what he lacks in ability he makes up for in potential ( I am not an expert on the kid ) have seen a little tape on him but not nearly enough so basing this on reports I have read and taking into consideration he just has played but 8 games as a starter at Corner and was able to nab what 4 picks ? hard to not see potential in that , his biggest knock from most of the things I have read is he simply hasnt a clue how to properly tackle ....
