Report: Troy Polamalu has some resentment towards Steelers

Since his retirement in 2015, there's been speculation with Troy Polamalu's feelings about the Pittsburgh Steelers.

That question was once again brought into the forefront in Ed Bouchette's recent Q&A, as the longtime writer of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette was asked if he had heard from Polamalu recently, and if there was any truth to him resenting the organization.

"No and, to an extent, yes," Bouchette wrote.

"Long story short: Polamalu felt he had more football left; the Steelers disagreed — and therein lies the crux of the standoff at this point."

I suspect the interest level would have been low and the dollar amounts lower ...

Troy was a fantastic player but the writing on the wall started to appear 2 years before he played his last game

It should be noted that one season prior, Troy's wife wanted him to retire. He got one final season, but then, IMO, she laid down the law.

After Ed posted a similar article last year, someone posted a bunch of pictures of Troy & Ike at a function wearing Steelers gear. You know: the opposite of what Ed was hyping.

Troy, Ike & Ryan Clark were photographed at the Great Wall in China, but that was for a NFL outreach project where they no doubt got paid



OTOH Troy wanted no part of the 2015 reunion of the 2005 SB champs




Of course Tommy Maddox showed up for the reunion of the 2005 team and he did not attend the party to get his ring in 2006 after he was released - so it sometimes takes time
