with that in mind I am a big fan of Mahomes and if he is there in round 2 when the Steelers select ( very doubtful but possible ) I say pull the trigger and grab him

This is no surprise to me. I never thought he'd retire anyway, he would have lost way too much money and I'm sure his wife wouldn't allow that to happen! I do agree that it is definitely past time to search for a replacement.

I just can't see the Steelers drafting a QB when there isn't anyone that will take Ben's place. They signed Jones for two years, Met is good through 2017. I think they will do like last year and bring in someone like Vaughan for camp duty and compete for the #3 position. Hopefully Ben's replacement is available in 2018-2019 draft. I think Ben will play past 2017.
