    Labriola: Shamarko Thomas may need a 'change of scenary

    I sure hope so!

    Shamarko Thomas     may be better suited finding a new NFL team for the 2017 season.
    That's according to Bob Labriola of Steelers.com, who on Wednesday broke down Thomas' current status with the team as the veteran safety prepares to enter the open market as an unrestricted free agent on Thursday. The team's fourth overall pick in 2013, Thomas has just two starts in 48 career games, as injuries limited him to a career low eight games played in 2016.

    It wouldn't surprise me if he went somewhere and made a contribution. Something he wasn't given the chance to do here. All we ever heard was that he couldn't pick up the defense. I really have no confidence in those type of statements. Sure he made mistakes in limited action but the only way to get better is to play. I hope he goes somewhere and does well for 3-4 years. Godspeed.
