He was my pick all season long... it was almost a given (in my mind). Sort of like the year that they drafted Heath: it was a foregone conclusion.
Starting in 2010, I dreamed of an O-line as such:
LT: Starks
LG: Pouncey
OC: Pouncey
RG: DeCastro
RT: Gilbert
When the Steelers drafted DeCastro, I had 4/5 of that lineup; so, my friend (a Chargers fan) called me up to say, "You always get what you want!!!" and hung up.
Poe hasn't been the same player the last couple of years. That would be a complete waste of $$ IMO.
If we lose Jones and sign Ingram, I really don't care about a compensatory pick. That's a winner already.
“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest. If you can't take it, you shouldn't play!” - Jack Lambert
Thank you Lord, the experiment is over!!!
Close it and lock it up!
There is no justification for keeping him, not even for vet minimum, just get him out the door
No Brainer
Nice market for Jarvis?
Will an NFL team be dumb enough to sign Jarvis Jones?

The one thing I liked about Jarvis Jones is that it was easy evaluate his play.
Because when reviewing his plays at normal speeds it looks like slow motion.

He seems like a nice guy and tries but the speed and talent are just not there. Wish him the best and with that said hope he is not on the roster this year.
The Jones' apologists have gone into hiding.

I really wouldnt mind him being on the team for a cheap cheap contract...IF i had faith that he would be strictly a back up. The coaches seem to thrust him in front of other (clearly better) Lbs. So with that said, i hope hes not in the rotation next year.

We can use Jarvis as assistant equipment manager, OR just take him out to the curb and let the garbage men take him away.
I feel bad for Jones. He has worked hard and played hard but you can't put in what God left out.
Jarvis Jones is the defensive equivalent of DHB. Not his fault the Steelers drafted him and displayed the lack of athleticism that almost ALL pre-draft reports warned of.
If I was another GM and I could get a league average LB who is decent in space, better than average against the run, and was 26 but whose lack of pass rush knocked his price down to 3 million a year? Sure. I would do that.
There are a lot of teams that would sign a man with Jarvis Jones' talents. It's called depth.
Jarvis Jones didn't cause this problem. The Steelers signed a player that didn't match the talent of the positional player they actually needed. They jumped at someone to draft a need and came up empty. It happens.
Jones worked hard and gave good effort. He just wasn't talented enough.
All the signs were there before they drafted him:
He wasn't big.
He was slow.
He had zero high end pass rush moves.
They looked at his production, and ignored all the things they saw on tape and in his measurables.
He was a guy that should have been drafted in the fourth round, but they drafted him in the first round. There's no need to insult the guy. He gave us everything he had to offer at the position he played in this system.
