He must be high if he thinks Manning wants to return.

    Colorado > Indianoplace.

Besides, Peyton has to continue to plug his garbage pizza here.

A Manning will do what's best for the Mannings.

Personally, I think he would make a great QBs coach. More responsibility than that is pointless.

Still trying to figure out what Manning has done as an evaluator of football talent to be given such a lofty position in the front office of any team.

I think it's because he was regarded as such a cerebral qb on the field. Maybe they figure that'll translate into being a good evaluator of talent on the field?

I'm not doubting that he could do it, a lot of former players have become good (if not excellent) talent evaluators. He watched a ton of game tape, I'm sure he can identify guys who can play. Hell, if anyone can do it, The Sheriff can! But that's a lofty position to start out in.

I think a big part of the reason that John Elway is regarded so highly in his position was the fact that he got lucky. Manning got hurt, didn't play for a year, bottom fell out on the Colts without him, drafted Luck, released Manning, and he convinced a known commodity (as long as he was healthy) to come play in Denver. If Manning never gets hurt, does Denver go to two Super Bowls and win one? It's hard to say.

QB coach to OC seems like the natural progression.

Manning was awful too when the broncos had won the SB in 2015....

If Peyton is willing to fire Haley, cut Nix and trade for Joe Thomas and Darren Sproles, he should get a lifetime contract here.
