If these ESPN piss ants don't think Tomlin gets bashed? They don't pay attention.
Ben and Tomlin are the ones who get it from the fan base. Our OC is the one who gets a free pass that Tomlin can only dream about.
Who cares what this Seachickens fan says.
Colin is just trying to jump on the Omar Kelley bandwagon and get some easy clicks from us.
COWURRS PLAYURRS!!!
The Steelers have had to rebuild the roster after 2011. They haven't had a losing season, but to say that they have underachieved is a joke. If Ben wasn't the quarterback of this team, there were a few years where the roster was closer to a four win team than a 12 win team without him.
People that say stuff like that don't really understand how much of this roster has been turned over in the last 5 years. All those great players from the 2010 Super Bowl got old and nonproductive.
This really isn't that hard to explain or figure out if you actually did a little research or just paid attention.
If the team gets knocked out in the first round this year and doesn't do anything in the playoffs next year, then he'll be on to something. Until then, this is just making a bold statement to draw attention to himself like he is prone to do.
Cowherd and his ilk are not about sports reporting - it is about generating clicks by hot takes on everything
Cowherd should wire cash to the P-G reporter (who maybe also has been instructed to generate click bait rather than substantive reporting for a publication that has seen better days) as a thank you gift for drawing attention to his trolling
*yawn*
Colin is a idiot. SOME of what he says regarding Tomlin is true. But compared with Cowher, and his teams, Tomlin is not even close to the Underachiever that Cowher was.
I'm not saying Tomlin is an underachiever, but Cowher is not an underachiever too.....Losing in the AFC title game is not underachieve, especially the steelers were far from having a loaded team under Cowher and being at the AFC titles game 6 times in 15 years is very impressive.
Especially that the steelers had a average or bad QB in 4 of his AFC title game and when Cowher had Roethlisberger the steelers had 15-1 in 2004 and won a super bowl in 2005.
Sorry but I disagree. Ben or no Ben. Cowher had the BEST record in the AFC and the # 1 seed 6 times...losing 5 of them. And the 1 that we did win and go to the Super Bowl ( 1995 )....if WR Bailey doesn't fumble away a Hail Mary pass.....Cowher is 0-6. Sorry but that is the very definition of Underachieving.
Please. 1-4 at home in the AFCC game is a sin. Especially the Chargers game where Cowher let a dance teacher have access to the locker room to prepare, albeit for charity, a SB rap video during the week.
Cowher wanted O'Donnell. Cowher wanted Kordell. He didn't want Ben. He made his own QB bed. He had to lie in it.
I tuned out when he said he often had the best QB-RB-WR tandem and an above average O-line his entire career. Um Rashard Mendenhall was the best RB he had for a period of time, Rashard Mendenhall, and for the bulk of his career, the O-line was one of the worst in the league. He talks about the Super Bowl roster he was handed like every player he had remains on the team and that the Super Bowl roster didn't have to be re-tooled
Bengals are bigger underachievers.
All Defense!
Mendenhall played well in 2009 and 2010. He's not the receiver Bell is, but IMO Bell isn't as fast as Mendenhall was.
Don't sell Mendenhall's 2009 and 2010 seasons short. He was an excellent back those two seasons.
2001 was inexcusable - Steelers were 10 point home favorites

It means nothing. The 1997 Broncos were underdog by at least 10 points in the super bowl 32 against the packers, but on paper, both teams were very similar.
The steelers had given 2 special team TD in this game in the 2001 AFC title game, that completely changed the game.
No what changed the game was Cowher's pigheadedness to start Bettis when he was in no shape to play.
Kodell was a choking dog. Those 1997 and 2001 teams were pretty stacked.
No surprise from Cowherd since he is a pats fan.
Brad Johnson was the highest rated QB in the NFC. Woulda had 30 TD passes if he started all year.
all i know is if we lose sunday tomlin in my eyes is an under achiever

[QUOTE=lipps83;574071]Cowher lost 4 and won 2. Kordell Stewart.....KORDELL STEWART was the QB for 2 of those losing teams.
WRONG!! Cowher lost 5 of the 6 times when his team was the # 1 seed. The other AFC title game came when he was a 6th seed, not a 1st. And it wasn't because of him we went to that Super Bowl. And it was Cowher's stubbornness that damn near lost us that game against Seattle. You way overrate his coaching skills.
Trying to get Bettis a TD almost lost them that game.
