WRONG!!! Bell and Mendenhall had very similar 40 times. Bell seems slower because he has patience and awareness. Something Mendenhall didn't have. Mendenhall was a terrible back. He stutter stepped, hit the wrong holes, wasn't sure what to do with the ball, had a crappy work ethic and had no heart/no interest in the game. A 3.9 YPC average is hardly excellent...lol. Not to mention the fact that if you touched his hand he dropped the ball...lol. Bell is pretty much the opposite of Mendenhall. It's not even comparable in any way other than saying they played for the same team and same position...after that there's nothing to compare.

Don't care about shorts and T-shirts. Mendenhall in the open field was a better runner than Bell is now.

What was his YPC in 2009-2010? That was what I was referring to.

He was never the same after he hurt that knee. And he also battled knee and toe injuries in Arizona.

Bell has been suspended twice for pot use. Kinda silly to say he's the opposite of Mendenhall.

To be fair, there was 1:20 left on the clock and the Colts had all 3 timeouts. They couldn't close the game out by kneeling on the ball 3 times

Mendenhall was slightly faster and able to break longer td runs then Bell IMO. He also had that amazing spin move lol.

Bettis didn't start SB XL. Parker did, he had the first two touches for the offense that day.

    ???

Here's all the RB touches in the first half.

First offensive play, 1st quarter, Steelers, SB XL, penalty false start.

Second play, Willie P. up the middle for no gain.

Third play, pass to Willie P. 1 Yard gain.

    Next drive,

1st play. Willie P. left for no gain,

2nd play, Williie P. left for 6 yards.

    2nd
    quarter

    1st drive.

Jerome B. left for 2 yards.

    2nd drive.

Willie P. Right fo 1 yard.
Willip P. left for 3 yards.
    Willie P. left 1 yard.
Pass to Jerome B. 5 yards
    Bettis Right tacke, 2 yards
    Bettis left tackle 1 yard

    Half time.

No. Jerome Bettis did not start that game, nor did he play most of the play in the first half, when supposedly, his helmet was okay.

    Check out the drive chart.

Every offensive play should be a TD, we should win every game and every year we should win a SB.

Then, maybe, the fans will be happy.

Mendenhall rarely got to the open field because he didn't know what to do with the ball. In 2009 he was 4.6. Probably his peak as you would imply. In 2010, he was 3.9. Bell has multiple seasons at 4.9.

How often was Mendenhall suspended? Oh that's right he was suspended for not showing up...lol. Was he suspended for pot? I don't recall that he was. Again, he was "clean", Bell obviously isn't...lol. Opposite. Bell was almost the exact opposite of Mendenhall. He is great. Mendenhall was average at best...when he could get through the line of scrimmage without spinning before. Bell cared, Mendenhall didn't. Bell has moves, Mendenhall didn't. The list goes on and on. It's not even a comparison. Not even close. Mendenhall should only be compared to Worley, Abercrombie, Erenberg, those types. Bell is in the Bleier, Harris, Bettis, Nix conversation...he'll I'd add Parker into that group well before Mendenhall...

Mendenhall never loved the game of football.

He would miss time with minor injuries.

    His effort wasn't always there.

He was nowhere near the runner Bell is.

He is nowhere near the receiver Bell is.

He didn't play with the fire Bell plays with.

He doesn't inspire his teammates the way Bell does.

    Who plays harder than Bell?

Mendenhall doesn't even belong in the same discussion as Bell. Bell is on his way to being historically great, and is currently, almost the unanimous "best running back in the NFL".

Spinny was never in that discussion.

You guys are missing the point.

Bell... Spinny... Bettis... who cares!?! The only RB who we should be discussing is Darren Sproles. If the Meddling Lawyer hadn't been so cheap, we would have signed him years ago... and had multiple undefeated seasons. If you don't believe me, well... I have every game of Sproles' career on DVD.

Rashard Mendenhall was nicknamed Retard Spinandfall for a reason.

We should have signed him and left confirmed douchebag LeGarrette Blount be.

Or did you like pissing away a home playoff game with another miserable asshole in street free agent Ben Tate?

    That's what I thought.

Tate first missed his block. Then he couldn't pull that pass in. Season over.

Oh that's right he was suspended for not showing up...lol.

For a game he wasn't going to play in because they told him he wasn't going to dress. That's a key detail you didn't include.

The suspension, announced Tuesday, stems from Mendenhall's absence from Heinz Field on Sunday after he was told by the team he would not dress, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

Kinda silly to suspend him AGAIN because he didn't stand there in a sweatsuit.

Btw not dressing him worked out well, they were down 27-3 at one point and Dwyer was stuffed not once, but twice on 4th and short. Yay Todd!

I have already admitted that I am wrong about Le'Veon Bell. I will make it more clear... You are right: we should have extended Spinny Mendandfall AND signed Darren Sproles (instead of ever drafting Bell).

Thanks to your plethora of DVDs, we now know:

    Darren Sproles >>>>>>> Le'Veon Bell

Likewise, due to your time in the stands, you have informed us that:

    Spinny Mendandfall >>>>>>> Le'Veon Bell

But, the real question is (and only you and your vast array of DVDs (do you watch them while in the stands???)) can answer this... Who is better: Sproles or Spinny???

We'll see if Bell keeps his lungs clean. He's one puff away from a year just like Bryant currently is serving.

The Steelers are going to franchise Bell. They don't trust him enough to give him a long term deal.

    His own fault.

    I agree.

Trade Bell for a R4 pick, and draft Mixon (who's better anyway).

    He quit on this team.

The point everyone knew Blount was a turd when they signed him.

They should have never signed him.

There was no absence by Bell when Blount was here. Bell played every regular season game in 2014.

Again...hindsight. While he was running over 100 against Carolina, everyone loved him. No one thought it was a bad signing then and no one could see what was going to happen in the future...
