When people are saying that they have no chance to win a game, that's negativity. There are always reasonable criticism and concerns that people can have about all aspects of the team, but when people are saying that Ben Roethlisberger is going to throw 4 interceptions or that they have no chance of winning is just ridiculous. That thought process is not based on fact or reality.

It's sad that people can feel that way about a team that has had so much success, and have not had a losing record in forever in football years.

Those are the people I'm referring to.

Even if the mistakes are just basic football, the commentary around here is largely negative. That wouldn't really get my goat - in fact it would be a valuable way to vent and talk about the team. But too much of the criticism is based on an imaginary/idealized reality where players always execute perfectly, never make a mental error, coaches have perfect knowledge of things ahead of time, etc. That standard is not in place nor lived up to by any NFL team ever - or at least not for more than a game here or there.

For instance, the fact that the second string (truthfully the 3rd string RB) let him self be shepherded out of bounds late in a blowout victory is an "error". And it is one made by a player who is now up to 10 whole carries on the year and 65 on his 3 year NFL career. Wanna hazard a guess on how much practice time and coaching the bottom of the depth chart RB who is averaging about 1 and 1/3 carries per game gets in a typical practice week? Gotta remember just how stupid most of these guys are. There is a reason that coaches talk about needing "reps" - for some reason telling most of these guys something "basic" once does not mean that it will stick.

What is the point of this long -winded rant you may ask? That Touissant going out of bounds is not some sympton of some larger sickness that infects the rest of the roster. Touissant made a mental error that I'm going to wager 9 out of 10 of the 3rd string RBs in the league make. Except the ones mind controlled by Belichick.
