Robert Griffin III clear frontrunner in Cleveland

Robert Griffin III took all the first-team reps on the first day of Browns training camp Friday, and is clearly the frontrunner at quarterback.

It doesn't look like much of a competition, and it won't be long before Hue Jackson names him the starter. At the latest, he'll wait until just before the first preseason game Aug. 12 in Green Bay.

But if Friday's practice is any indication, there's no need to wait even that long. Griffin worked exclusively with the ones, and his main challenger, Josh McCown, worked with the twos. Rookie Cody Kessler and Austin Davis stepped in after that............

Would be nice if they beat Cincinnati once or twice.

RG3 will probably be the starter until he re-injures his knee (my guess around week 3)

Does it really matter? I don't think it does.

I was being generous and said regular season, though preseason seems very likely as well

He will see the field one way or the other anyhow. It's not like McCown is reliable health wise.

But it does seem they've hitched their wagon to RG3, and if they can get him comfortable as a pocket passer he may be fine. But I don't think he can be a running QB. The guy is straight up small. Cam Newton is built like a compact RB almost. RG3 isn't, he's not a big guy when it comes to being able to take NFL hits.

So how quickly will he be hurt? Before the season starts?
