Bengals' Domata Peko says Steelers are 'pieces of bleep'

LONDON — Several scheduled participants in this year’s NFL International Series games held in England were on hand for a publicity event on Tuesday evening in London. And Bengals defensive linemen Domata Peko stole the show.
During the question and answers segment of the evening, Peko was not shy in letting his feeling known about the Pittsburgh Steelers.
When asked by the host of the event to complete his sentence “the Pittsburgh Steelers are . . . ” Peko’s answer was “pieces of bleep” and he let out a high pitched tone as if he was covering up the obvious expletive.
While he makes his money as a defensive player, his favorite play in the NFL actually comes from a moment on offense and once again involves the Steelers.
Although Peko considers Troy Polamalu a good friend and noted his respect for a fellow Samoan player he called a legendary safety in the NFL, his career highlight comes from the time he blocked Polamalu during a goal line touchdown run back in 2010, remarking how No.43 got up saying, “why’d you do that,” according to Peko.
Both defensive end Carlos Dunlap, also on hand for the event, and Peko referred to Steelers nemesis Vontaze Burfict as a “beast” and “ferocious.”
When it came to questions from the audience we had a chance to ask one of our own and we wanted to know how much media hype there was in the Steelers rivalry and how the two players really felt about Pittsburgh. Surely, they have a few friends on the Steelers. Peko was not so convinced.
“Oh, we hate them,” he said. “For us, each time we play the Steelers, the whole city is like ‘beat these fools’ and whenever we beat them, it is a big party in Cincinnati. It’s a big rivalry for us.”
