    Sharks not drastically retooling ahead of Game 3 against Penguins








    Hours before Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final, San Jose coach Pete DeBoer was asked if the speed of the Penguins altered his season-long tradition of rolling his three defensive pairings equally no matter the situation.


    DeBoer answered the question emphatically and then went out of his way to say the Sharks weren’t going to change their game in any manner.
    “We’re not changing anything from what got us here,” DeBoer said confidently. “Regardless of who we’re playing or the schedule, what point in the season we’re at, we’re going to play the same way we’ve played the entire year and the entire playoffs.”


    The Sharks maintained their confidence Friday, saying they simply had to execute their game plan better in Game 3. If they don’t, the Penguins could make quick work of the Sharks when the series resumes Saturday from SAP Center.............
