Steelers' Golson confirms MRI, but denies it was on shoulder

Steelers cornerback Senquez Golson confirmed an MRI was performed on him recently, but he emphasized it wasn't on a part of his body that many might think it was.
“The MRI wasn't on the shoulder,” Golson said Tuesday after the Steelers' fourth organized team activity session of the offseason. “Shoulder is 100 percent ready to go.”
Golson missed all of his rookie 2015 season because of a left shoulder injury suffered during last season's OTAs. A second-round pick last year, Golson never participated in a training camp practice before being placed on injured reserve.
He said Tuesday his absence from OTA practices would last “just a couple days,” and added he “wasn't worried” injury issues would linger over the long term.
Golson did not divulge which part of his body was subjected to the MRI other than to say it was “soft tissue.”
“Shoulder is 100 percent,” he said. “MRI was something else.”
