The bulk of the story of Sidney Crosby's 2015-16 season already has been written, and it has all the elements of a classic drama.

It has trouble.

It has triumph.

All it's missing is a trophy, and the Penguins will have an opportunity to win one of those — the Prince of Wales Trophy — when they host the Tampa Bay Lighting in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals Thursday night.

“Game 7, the desperation level of both teams is going to be there,” Crosby said Wednesday morning while meeting with reporters at a Tampa airplane hangar before boarding a flight to Pittsburgh. “You expect that. It just comes down to executing and who's going to do a better job.”

The start of the season was nothing but trouble for Crosby and the Penguins.............
