Does Green have to be "open," or can he hang on to passes that are fired his way with a defender hanging all over him. Those were the kinds of impossible catches I remember Miller making at least once or twice a game, and a big part of his value to us. Not that there can't be value in a different style of play, but it will be an adjustment.
See you Space Cowboy ...
Green is a completely different player of Miller.
I predict that Green will have 14-15 yards per catch and the security blancket for Ben will be Le'veon Bell.
That's where Miller was in his career. He couldn't beat anyone anymore or create any separation. He could only be effective against zone where he was adept at finding the soft spots in the zone. He also made a boatload of tough catches with defenders draped all over him. The guy was all heart man......I'm going to miss Heath.
Green brings more speed, explosiveness, and the ability to be a deep threat to the table. We'll find out about his intangibles after we get to see him play a little bit.
I'm hoping he can be an impact player that can find a way to do some of the dirty work Heath used to do for this team.

The only question mark is the blocking and the fact that Ben never had to look for or question where Miller was going to be. They just "knew" from playing together for so long.
Can Green and Ben quickly develop a similar "mind meld" or is that something that takes some time? Interesting to see.
