Unfortunately he won't take my calls anymore. I think he got mad at me after I almost got him to pass on Wheaton in 2013 and use his 3rd-round pick on an obscure pass rusher from a D-II school whose name I made up by reading off the Taco Bell menu. Would've worked too if the jerk behind me hadn't ruined it by honking.

Could see Bell to SD. Maybe Hunter Henry? Gates is older and of course lost Green.

Devito retired so KC will probably take one of Robinson, Reed or Jones.

Jacksonville taking the AFC South division.

When will the first offensive player go? Giants? They could go WR.

At this point I'm convinced you have someone on the inside. So please try and use that to help us move up in the second round. Call the Raiders pretending to be Bill Belichick and offer them a sucker trade for pick #13.

edit: Fuck! There went Howard. I didn't think he and Burns would BOTH be gone before Alexander.

Thought Tampa may have taken Spence in round 1, think he goes there.

Omg, I'm on fire. Knew they liked him and seen countless Spence to Bucs mocks. Easy.

yeah, the Bucs badly needed a pass rusher...

as for Howard, I think that was a reach but CBs are at a premium in today's pass-happy NFL...

So far 10 picks without one of the DL guys I want gone ... good stuff (probably will be a tease with Billings to the Bengals)

Yeah, and looking back on the Burns pick, it could've been a lot worse. Usually the choice we face at corner is spend a R1 pick on a borderline R3 guy, or take no one at all. At least this guy has the credentials to possibly be worth it. Still preferred Alexander personally, but what can you do about it.

    - - - Updated - - -

If Correa is off the board, I count that good news. I don't think I would've liked that pick.

Pharoh Cooper, Jeremy Cash, Jatvis Brown, Tyler Ervin

Cash would a nice player that would help in subpackage either as a safety or linebacker, same with Brown.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft: Best remaining prospects

If Andrew Billings is there, take him. Great value pick. Sheldon Day would provide depth. For an additional D-lineman, Quentin Jefferson visited.

    I like Tyler Ervin.

I reeeeally want a pass-rush specialist. That was going to be Nassib (in my mind). DE or OLB or some mixture, as long as he can rush the passer. Who though??? It's a little early for Victor Ochi. This doesn't seem to be the best round to add a pass-rusher.

Nick Kwiatkoski is a very interesting player. He was a safety, who switched to linebacker. A poor man's Su'a Cravens.

It would be nice to give Munchack an OG to develop and eventually take over for Ramon Foster. Jerald Hawkins visited. So did Caleb Benenoch. I like the OGs from Arkansas: Denver Kirkland and Sebastian Trelota. Spencer Drango is a fan favorite. As are Connor McGovern and Jack Collins.

    Pharoah Cooper visited.

A bunch of corners and safeties visited, but I don't see them going that direction here. I do see them adding Tavon Young in R6; he's a tough hitting, but small, corner.

Lastly, Dak Prescott visited. Connor Cook was discussed as an option at 89. But, I really like Kevin Hogan.

I just think Jeremy Cash would be great value in round 4. He's perfect for sub package football, something Tomlin and crew have talked about during the whole process. He's a LB/S. He'd be great.

    Good point.

That is the exact reason why I listed Kwiatkoski.

At the same time, drafting a WR would be ideal. Since Bryant's future here is questionable, and Wheaton will be a FA.

Wonder if they're happy with the o-line group?

Really dislike not having a 5th round pick.

    - - - Updated - - -

Could have been, 4. Cash 5. Ervin 6. Benenoch

    Just great.

They're very adept at drafting WRs. I just assume that the next guy will replace the last guy. Wheaton is replaced by Coates, who is replaced by this pick.

The O-line is set, but in order to prevent a repeat of 2006-2009, they need to start developing players to replace this current group.

Yep... because, this might be a round early for Ervin.

This is one reason I think we may talk trade with this pick. There is still a couple of RBs rated ahead of Ervin, did anyone take Collins yet. We could get Ervin with a lower pick, but I don't think he will make it out of the 5th, and we don't have a 5th rounder.

    Collins is still there.

    So is Howard.
    And, Dixon.
    And, Perkins.
    And, Booker.

If all of those guys are still there, one could trade back and still get Ervin (or, one of them) at the top of R5.

if we get Booker or Ervin, what are your thoughts on keeping 4 RB's on the roster (Bell, Williams, Toussaint, and Booker/Ervin)? Its a long ways down the road, but i think it should be done (at least thinking about it on the surface), since Williams is probably done with us after this year anyways

    Exactly.

Plus, he has been injured every season that he has played.
