Rumor has it that the Pittsburgh Steelers and former Falcons HC and current OC Arthur Smith will open up the NFL season on the road against Atlanta on Sunday 9/8.

too bad this isn't a Primetime game with Kirk Cousins playing.

Rumor also has it that the Steelers will be hosting the Chiefs on Christmas Day.
The Pirates are at home for the first two Sundays of the NFL season, and the NFL tries not to schedule home games in a city where the baseball team is also at home, so the Steelers may have their first two games on the road, or have their second game at home on a Monday night.
Rumor has it the Steelers will go 20-0.
Teegre needs to come back.

That schedule is one whopping hell of a joke. While they're at it, why not make them play in London and Mexico during that 3 games in 10 days stretch late December?
Schedule blows.
I hate how the NFL fucked up a perfect scheduling system when they went to the 17 game schedule.
I liked playing each team in each division in the NFC once every four years.
The NFL is going to just ruin this fucking game.
Falcons are currently favored by 3.
Couple of thoughts: Only back to back home games twice and the last two are Chiefs and Bengals. Yikes
The NFL has been scheduling division games later in the year for a few years now. I like the idea generally. Usually at least one game ends up in the beginning of the year. Not this year. Four division games in a row and 6 out of the last 8. Have we ever played 4 division games in a row. We may have, maybe I just don't remember.
Nothing in the division will be decided in the division the first half of the season.
So if I follow correctly they play:
2 Sunday night games
1 Monday Night game
1 Thursday Night Game
1 Wednesday Night game (Christmas)
1 Saturday Game
Shows the draw of the Steelers. We haven't won a playoff game in ages and we still have 6 prime games.
Games I am most looking forward too. Of course, Ravens week twice a year is always something special.
The Cowboys on Sunday Night will feature one team that brags it's America's Team vs the team that is happy to be Pittsburgh's team but has as more creditability to the America's Team label than the pretenders.
Christmas vs Chiefs. We will be underdogs for sure. But, in regular season at least, Tomlin usually has his teams ready to go in primetime.
I don't buy into the revenge games with Atlanta and Denver. They are just Steelers' games to me, which id enough in and of its self.
Those last 4 games are brutal
The 2nd half schedule is indeed brutal, but knowing the new offense(especially the o-line) will have time to gel by then is a positive.
The Christmas game sucks, Wednesday game, after playing the Ravens on Saturday, at least the Ravens is dealt with a similar hand as they also play on the same day vs the Texans.
I hope they go to a 26-game schedule.
