Could see them liking the first two. This is a defensive draft, if they like a guy, they need to get him.

Word last night was he had a surprise knee problem that teams were concerned about. I just hope be doesn't turn out to really be a first round talent and now he's busting our balls for the next 10 years. Somewhere, BengalGirl5150 is laughing her ass off.

We haven't taken a linebacker yet, lost one ILB and are set to lose 2-3 OLBs next year depending on whether we re-sign anyone. I would be stunned if we didn't take one this draft; maybe that's what this trading up talk is about.

I'm on my tablet right now so I can't post the tweet, but Kaboly just posted that we are snooping around trying to get into the fifth round for someone.

I think the rats, Bengals and Browns are getting three picks to our one in this draft.

He also shows good vertical at 35" and tops in broad jump. And, the kid can hit as a blocker.
idk about that. do you plan on keeping 4 tight ends on the roster? because Green is definitely staying, Spaeth is still an invaluable blocker, and we just got Jesse James. I wouldnt want this kid unless he can at the very least, block like a mad man

I"m not sold on James. On top of which, I have no problem putting the guy on the PS for the beginning of the year. He seems like he can both block and catch, and has a drive to finish plays from some of his highlights. Of course, those pick the best plays, so who knows.

We didn't get back into the 5th round. Maybe a move up in the 6th, but I doubt it.

Jatavis Brown to the chargers. wonder if thats who we were after. he did come in for a visit after all.

dark horse speculation: Maybe it was Kalan Reed. Gotta remember that our 6th round pick is reaaaally deep in the 6th round so its more like a 7th round pick really.

I want Kalan Reed so bad. And yes, I'm willing to hold onto 6 CB's to do it (at least if you count Doran Grant on that 6. Personally i would prefer to let Sean Davis and Grant focus on becoming safeties for now)

Harlan Miller and Jonathan Jones are 2 corners we showed interest in that might have been targets for the trade up as well. Personally id rather have Kalan Reed, but Jonathan Jones could be a legit candidate to get early playing time

They're getting ready to interview Coach Tomlin on NFL Network.

It will be good to get his insights into the draft and the players they took. I guess this is a makeup for going to commercial for every freaking pick!

Just wanted to give a heads up.

QB Brandon Allen, OLB Dadi Nicolas, CB Harlan Miller all guys we were interested in gone.

if we truly go BPA, Jonathan Jones or Kalan Reed have to be in the conversation. I would not mind having 6 CB's on the roster this season, even though we have 2 CB/S types in Davis and Grant

They just said on NFL Network that this is the last year that teams can't trade compensatory picks. Next year they will be able to trade them.

right, but he has that flexibility. just adding in that counter point for those who might be against us drafting another corner..Some people will feel like we have 7 true cornerbacks on the roster if we draft another one. i dont agree with that sentiment

thanks for the clarification, I had read that they changed the rule but didn't realize that it takes effect next year.
