The Redskins are on the clock...

The Redskins are on the clock...

Over at Steelers Fever, every year, teegre & I would coordinate a "Steelers Fever Consensus Mock Draft".

We would start with the first pick... with a thread, a poll, and a discussion. The poll/thread would be up for 12 hours, and then, we'd move on to the next team. So on & so forth until we would get to Pittsburgh's selection, where the poll would stay open for several days.

Why??? This will allow for us to get a sense of who might ACTUALLY be there at pick #25. No joke: we've come pretty close every single year. Have fun with it.

So... as not to break tradition...

"First Annual Steelers Universe Consensus Mock Draft".

    1. LA: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota St. (trade)
    2. SF: Jared Goff, QB, Berkeley (trade)
    3. SD: Laremy Tunsil, LT, Mississippi
    4. DAL: Jalen Ramsey, FS, Florida St.
    5. JAX: Myles Jack, LB, UCLA
    6. BAL: Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida
    7. CLEV: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio St. (trade)
    8. PHI: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio St.
    9. TB: DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon
    10. NYG: Ronnie Stanley, LT, Notre Dame
    11. CHI: A'Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama
    12. NO: Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville
    13. MIA: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson
    14. OAK: Darron Lee, LB, Ohio St
    15. TENN: Jack Conklin, OT, Mich St (trade)
    16. DET: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson
    17. ATL: Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson
    18. INDY: Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio St.
    19. BUFF: Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis
    20. NYJ: Reggie Ragland, ILB, Alabama
    21. WASH:

The Redskins are on the clock... and will be on the clock until around noon (EST).

[Mods, we don't want to garbage up the front page. Please, move/erase the Jets thread.]

They are just desperate at corner. Deangelo Hall is waaaay past his prime.

Pick is Eli Apple for me

Re: The Redskins are on the clock...

They just signed Kendall Reyes to play DE. He was chased out of San Diego... just like Cam Thomas. So, DE is a need. Ogbah

They just lost their NT. Billings, Reed, Butler

Their ILBs aren't very good. no one

They safety situation is so bad that DeAngelo Hall moved to that position. Joseph

    Hmmm.... which one???

Re: The Redskins are on the clock...

Glad to see these guys back in the playoffs last season. Had been a while. From what I read about the Redskins they really need a NT. Jarran Reed is the top rated NT on the board and possibly in this draft. That's who they take here.

So far 8 offensive players taken and 12 defensive. If the actual draft goes this way I will be VERY pleased. Keep falling down that board!

Re: The Redskins are on the clock...

DT is the obvious choice for them. I think Reed is the higher-rated prospect, but Billings is the better player, at least for us. So I think they will take Reed, which would work out great.

If they take Apple here and get him the fuck off the board so we aren't tempted, I would be thrilled.

I also went with Reed. It makes sense, but they could literally take anyone on the board.

and its to the point in the draft we could see a surprise name come off that is not listed , we always have 1 or 2 of those that some team falls in love with and takes quite a bit earlier than anticipated

Re: The Redskins are on the clock...

    New proposed arrangement

    1. LA: Jared Goff, QB, Cal (trade): With the rumors that the Rams are leaning towards Goff
    2. PHI: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota St (trade): They traded up for a QB
    3. SD: Laremy Tunsil, LT, Mississippi
    4. DAL: Jalen Ramsey, FS, Florida St.
    5. JAX: Myles Jack, LB, UCLA
    6. BAL: Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida
    7. SF: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio St.: They could use some edge rusher help
    8. CLE: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio St. (trade):They will likely go BPA and could use some improvement at the skill positions

That leaves everything else the same

Its ok. This doesnt change much in our mock picks before #7 if you really look at it. The 1st 6 picks are probably just going to end up the same thing. Now that the 49ers are at #7 and browns are at #8, thats what changes.

How did we resolve this last time? Didnt teegre just post a suggested re-mock and a lot of people agreed to it or something? Im thinking Paxton Lynch to the 49ers now
