Da Raidahs are on the clock...

Over at Steelers Fever, every year, hawaiiansteeler & I would coordinate a "Steelers Fever Consensus Mock Draft".

We would start with the first pick... with a thread, a poll, and a discussion. The poll/thread would be up for 12 hours, and then, we'd move on to the next team. So on & so forth until we would get to Pittsburgh's selection, where the poll would stay open for several days.

Why??? This will allow for us to get a sense of who might ACTUALLY be there at pick #25. No joke: we've come pretty close every single year. Have fun with it.

So... as not to break tradition...
"First Annual Steelers Universe Consensus Mock Draft".

    1. LA: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota St. (trade)
    2. SF: Jared Goff, QB, Berkeley (trade)
    3. SD: Laremy Tunsil, LT, Mississippi
    4. DAL: Jalen Ramsey, FS, Florida St.
    5. JAX: Myles Jack, LB, UCLA
    6. BAL: Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida
    7. CLEV: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio St. (trade)
    8. PHI: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio St.
    9. TB: DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon
    10. NYG: Ronnie Stanley, LT, Notre Dame
    11. CHI: A'Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama
    12. NO: Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville
    13. MIA: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson
    14. OAK:

Da Raidahs are on the clock... and will be on the clock until around midnight (EST).

[Mods, we don't want to garbage up the front page. Please, move/erase the Dolphins thread.]

I would love to get Silverandblack's input on this one as well.

From everything I have looked at, draft-wise, about the Oakland Raiders, is that they are expected to go defense here. CB, ILB, Pass Rush... Lee and Ragland are both still available. Also, Lawson and Dodd. 4 very talented LBs. At CB, there is still JacksonIII, and Apple.

I do not believe they will go WR, TE, RB, or QB. Somebody else can tell us about their OLine.

I'm going to give them a pass rusher with Shaq Lawson.

    NEEDS:

    OT: Their starters are decent.

DE: They are good (Mack, Edwards).

DT: One young, good player, and one old, good player.

CB: They just drafted Hayden, but he's a huge question Mark.

SS: A little early for Joseph, but a huge need.

LB: They need three. Lee or Ragland is my vote.

I don't think they can go wrong with any of these LBs. Can Lee play some hybrid ILB/Safety?

    Lee = Shazier

But, yea, I'd try to move him to SS (like Kam Chancellor).

    NOTE:
Sheldon Rankins and A'Shawn Robinson are both already gone.

I'm going to stop posting today; I'm at home with both kids... alone.

I'll wait until the wife gets home.

I wouldn't mind taking Ragland or Dodd. As long as Reggie doesn't screw up and take another heart surgery player I'll be happy.

I removed Rankins, but unfortunately, Robinson already got a vote.

the poster who voted for Robinson can re-vote, just let us know who you would like instead and we'll count it for that new player.

I can actually add it to the tally for the new player manually. I just need to know who voted for Robinson and who they'd like to change their vote to.

I forgot Robinson was gone and was thinking D-line for the Raiders. I want to change it to Darron Lee

They can go anywhere on defense, but if they can put a versatile, athletic freak weak side LB opposite Mack....That would be a big improvement in the defense and much less predictable.

I think they go Darron Lee, LB Ohio State.

We have Aldon Smith. He's out the first 4 games, but he's a very capable player. Between him and Mack, it's a nightmare for opposing offenses. I'll take Dodd or Ragland. Having said that, if by some miracle Zeak is still on the board... it's a no brainer.
