Steelers' Antonio Brown pays $6.6 million for Hollywood home with synagogue

NFL star Antonio Brown is making himself at home in Hollywood.

The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver paid $6.6 million for a 12-bedroom mansion at 3600 Estate Oak Circle, public records show. The home includes a built-in synagogue.

An entity called Prodigykids AB 84 bought the estate in the Hollywood Oaks subdivision. Brown, a Miami native and "Dancing With the Stars" contestant, is listed as the registered agent. He wears No. 84 with the Steelers..........

Dayum, that is nice. Unfortunately AB doesn't realize I helped him to pay for that with the percentage he gets from my purchasing his jersey.

Check out my sweet pad. The one on the right. My neighbor moved 2 years ago after the 2nd floor started to collapse. He said he couldn't get any sleep because he kept rolling out of bed. He just up and moved. I have been debating getting my front porch fixed, but I use the side entrance so it doesn't really bother me.

Not sure about that but it's certainly something that can be renovated. He might need another bedroom???

Maybe he bought it to go on Fixer Upper.

With the Rams moving back to L.A. and having what soon will be over 90 million in Salary to spend. I will bet that they will make a huge offer to Brown when his deal ends. I suspect 200 million with a Signing bonus of around 80 million. Steelers will have to pay that to keep him in all likelihood.

lol silly, that's not a room were you use the coffee table, or even sit in it at all. It's just a room to look at and imagine how luxurious it would be if you DID sit in it.

Given that the bonus money can only be spread out over the life of the contract or 5 years, whichever is shorter, that would give a salary cap hit of $16M a year from the signing bonus alone, and probably minimum $30 million a year overall, and all of it would be "real" money. Seeing as how that would be substantially more than the best franchise quarterbacks in the league earn, that's just not gonna happen. I love AB too, but let's not allow our firsthand view to make him into a caricature.

If someone else really did offer him that much, there simply isn't a way for us to do that, so it would be さよならブラウンさん, and I can't say I could do much about it but shrug.

That's Hollywood, FL, not CA. I grew up there, but not in that style. Nice house, but he should have bought on the water. I guess he doesn't have a boat.

Maybe. But if he's smart, he'll look past the dollar signs at Wallace's situation as a cautionary tale before he takes stupid money to go play for simply the highest bidder. We all saw firsthand this past season just how important Ben is to AB's game.

And it's also generally a truism that any team that offers ridiculous money to a big-name WR tends to put the cart before the horse and will more than likely have a pile of suck at the QB position.

Further, AB tends to do his best work when Ben goes into "Houdini mode" to extend a play - there aren't many good QBs in the league to begin with, and there are even fewer with that particular skill set. It's also a very big part of what makes the Ben/AB combo so dangerous - they both seem to have a sixth sense about what the other is going to do on a given play. Pretty close to impossible to buy chemistry like that and it's certainly not developed overnight or even over an offseason or two.

Lastly, WRs, even ones as good as AB, are far easier to come by than franchise QBs...

Even if I made the money Antonio makes, I don't think I could purchase a house like that or even multiple homes.

All good points. And if I may add, I think Antonio probably is aware that he's putting up historic numbers. No receiver ever before has put together 3 straight seasons the caliber that AB has from 13-15. So if he's thinking about his legacy and if he's sharp enough to realize that making himself a first ballot Hall of Famer will supersede any short term gains in free agency. Then he'll remain a Steeler at least through the duration of Ben's career. If he and Ben can put together 5 more seasons comparable to the past 3 then you're putting Antonio up there with Jerry Rice in the discussion of the G.O.A.T. Move on and if you don't find that same chemistry with your next qb you just become a historical footnote. Just another guy who had a quick few year run.

And being in Pittsburgh there's plenty of living examples of continuity and long term legacy paying off. Great and near great Steelers that were considered loyal to the black and gold will never go wanting around Pittsburgh. It pays to be a legacy with this team.

Best wishes to AB, but for $6.6 mil I'd want a better view than looking at my neighbors roof.
