This time around against the Ravens, the Steelers have a kicker they can trust

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin was in no mood earlier this week to revisit the Josh Scobee fiasco. The previous time the Steelers played Baltimore it was two missed field goals by Scobee in the fourth quarter that allowed the Ravens to come from behind to beat the Steelers in overtime.


It’s no wonder Tomlin doesn’t wish to revisit that night. It’s perhaps the main reason the Steelers remain in must-win mode and need a small miracle to repeat as AFC North Division champions.


Still, in a strange way, if the Steelers can clinch a playoff berth Sunday, they have Scobee to thank for it. He is the reason Chris Boswell is on their roster, and this first-year place kicker is proving to be one great find for the scouting department........

That means the Steelers are very predictable. No excuses other than thinking all we needed to do was show up and the Ravens would roll over.

The Ravens were willing to give us the middle of the field underneath all day and instead of taking what they gave them, they keep throwing deep into coverage. Heath Miller should have been busy all day taking the 5-8 yard passes.

I always think you should take the points on the first drive of the game on the road. Plus Boswell has been real good this year.
