I don't mind the calls to ease back the playing time a bit, but we still need to win out to get into the playoffs, we can't take even this depleted level of team for granted. They will come to play like they always do. I would love for our defense to make 2 more statement games heading into the playoffs. While I hope for no more injuries, we certainly can not play scared to not get hurt. I also hope AB can rack up another Bronco/Raider performance to he can break the reception and receiving yards record this year.
Well, I'm sitting here reading all of the post of how we are going to beat up on the ratbirds, and how it would be better to play this team or that team. LOL ! Sorry, I can't get into that frame of mind. I've seen this team ( as all of you have), get beat and sometime blown away by teams we should have smoked. Come on people, look back at our schedule and past seasons, and how many times have you seen this team play DOWN to the opponent and LOSE ! I quit looking for the 'so called' best scenario for us. I hate the bungholes so I want them to lose all of the time. Hopefully bronco's rip them up Monday night. As far as the Steeler's go, well, they should have won their games against the ratbirds and the bungholes, 2 bull crap loses. Now, I just hope they win 1 game at a time to get to the SB. It's in their hands.
"F" the Ratbirds!!!!! It's Ravens week, bloodbath time. Unleash HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed, there is no such thing as a sure win as long as Mike Tomlin is the head coach. Last year this team lost to a 2-14 Succaneers team at home for crying out loud. Plus, this is Baltimore's Super Bowl, they will go all out to try and win this game. All they have to play for right now is to try and ruin the Steelers playoffs chances. They tanked against the Chiefs because a Chiefs win would have helped the Steelers playoff chances, all while saving energy for next week. Plus, playing a team with a bad record on the road coming off an emotional home win against a really good team is a situation Tomlin coached teams have struggled with time and time again.
"We're going into the lion's den in Baltimore Maryland, it's going to be a hostile environment.
I imagine even if we throw it 40 to 49 times there is still going to be some bludgeoning along the way. A lot of times familiarity doesn't breed comfort, they have a rough and tumble crew up front.
Such is life in the Steeler-Raven series, classic AFC North warfare."
So many tickets are still available. Please pick them up. All those ratbird fans are jumping ship. Let's turn Baltimore into Heinz field!!! Let's make that place jump! Let's make it a true coronation day for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I will be there rocking a Steelers' hoodie and a terrible towel! Don't leave me high and dry.
The Ravens should move to Los Angeles.
All Defense!
Ok. That's funny.
To be honest, while I'm confident the Ravens lose, I think they have a better shot with Clausen then they would have had with Shaub. Not much more, but a little. Simply way too many lost players to get a W on a good team. Final will probably end up like the Seahawks game.
But I'm not bitter. You cannot go to the playoffs every year, and every now and again (unless you're Cleveland), you have a stinker. Sad, but true. At least as far as this rivalry goes, the worst we get is a split. I would normally say "let's have a great hard-hitting game but no major injuries", but the way things have been in 2015, Baltimore will probably lose Yanda or Tucker.
Honestly, I'm not scared of this Ravens team. Maybe if they still had Flacco, but the guys they have at QB don't strike fear into me even the slightest.
We are going to put up likely 40 points on them. I doubt they put up more than 14 before it becomes garbage time.
Ben: 25/31, 400 yards, 3 TD
Brown: 10 catches, 210 yards, 2 TD
Williams: 17 carries, 112 yards, 2 TD
Steelers 41 - Ravens 14

Sorry, but I still have the whole "trap game/rivalry game" thing stuck in the back of my mind... We could beat the lowly Ravens 55-0 just as easily as we could lose 23-20 to them. Do I think we will win? Yes, but this game could certainly go either way, unfortunately.
I do not remember one time this year that everyone was confident that the Steelers would win the next game!
This year, the Steelers were ready to play in every game this year with the exception maybe of the game against the Patriots because of the problem of the commucation in defense.
In the 5 losses, 2 it was with a backup QB,one it was against the pats and the 2 others was against the seahawks and vs Bengals with a rusty Roethlisberger...If the team is ready to play and that the steelers make few mistake, the Steelers will win.
Be prepared for a close game fellas. This is Baltimore's Super Bowl so they are going to put their soul into this game. Tomlin better have his team ready to play at 100%
Not believing the hype at all. This is a deadly trap game with everyone crowning the Steelers offense as the greatest of all time. I just don't see it that way. Their good but not that good. Defense has put points on the board for this team and have given them some short fields to work with. Teams below .500 are Tomlin's nemesis. It will take a professional and focused effort to beat the Ravens. This is not a gimme in my mind and I hope the players don't treat it that way. They need to play and hone their A-game if they want to take this into the playoffs. Here's hoping they come out on top and unscathed.
Another sucky part of this loss is that it gives those mouth-breathing brain-less Neanderthal Ratbird fans a chance to celebrate a sweep of the Steelers at whatever gay bar they go to.
The ONLY consolation to all this is that the Patriots, Seahawks, Panthers and Packers all lost today too...but they weren't fighting for a wildcard spot.
