I remember going into this game confident we would win then getting scared when they fell behind 17-7, only to be reassured as the Steelers took over the 2nd half. Bengals defense gives up 31 points, idiot Bengals fans be like "Durr we only losted cuz of Palmer's knee". That 05 team was a clear pretender, especially without a defense

Also to keep in mind, if you re-watch the game, you will notice the Steelers playing soft early when the Bengals scored 17, and then when they started attacking, the Steelers shut them down. You can't convince me that overrated Palmer would have put up 30 points that day

The Bengals had an initial surge early on after Palmer's injury.

When the Steelers made the score 17-14, that was the turning point right there. Cincinnati felt defeated even though they went into halftime leading. That Bengals team was so mentally weak and fragile, and you just knew as that game was going on, their throats were tightening, and they were going to crack under pressure. Sure enough, they did.

Ten years later, it looks like nothing has changed.

Yeah, the Steelers were a battle-tested team determined to win the Super Bowl, the Bengirls were weak pretenders who couldn't handle adversity. They had an awful defense and a weak head coach. The 24-0 run that ended the game showed that

An unlikely hero in Cedrick Wilson in that game.

They played to win instead of typical Cowher ball.

The Bengals were leading 10-0 and 17-7 in this game, but the Steelers scored on five drives in a row(4 TD,1 FG) and that's what has made the difference.

The Bengals defense was a joke in 2005.

Also the steelers would have won this division without Roethlisberger's injury but maybe it was a good thing that the Steelers be on the road in the playoff in 2005 since the steelers were much better on the road in 2004 and 2005.
