    California shootings

    As it happens...

One suspect identified, police kill man and woman connected to San Bernardino mass shooting

A man and a woman connected to a mass shooting that left 14 people dead and 17 wounded in San Bernardino were killed in a firefight with police officers after a car chase Wednesday, authorities said.

Two law enforcement sources identified one of the suspects as Syed Farook. Two separate law enforcement sources said one of the suspected gunmen was an American citizen, but declined to identify them.

Public records show a person named Syed R. Farook was employed by the San Bernardino County Health department as an environmental health specialist, but it was not clear if that was the same person involved in the shooting.

    Re: California shootings

They said Farook recently traveled to Saudi Arabia and returned with a new wife he had met online.

Who are Syed Rezwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik?

"These were people that came prepared," he said. "There had to have been some degree of planning that went into this."

A bag believed to belong to the shooters was found inside the conference room. Inside, investigators found three three rudimentary explosive devices packed with black powder and rigged to a remote controlled car. The remote for the car was found inside the SUV where Farook and Malik were later killed, a law enforcement official said.

That means the pair planned to use the remote to detonate the explosives remotely, the official said. Either it didn't work because of distance or they didn't do it. Officials later rendered the explosive devices safe.

    Re: California shootings

It's amazing to me the amount of political and PC bullshit flying around this from the very start. Immediately after it hits the news, Obama and Hillary come out preemptively trying to make it into a gun control thing. Apparently it doesn't even cross their minds that the thing almost exactly fits the profile of an organized terror attack, not a lone-crazed-gunman incident. It's pointed out that zomg, two of the four guns they had were purchased legally (how were the others purchased, then?) and omg omg gun control.

For all of yesterday, and even today, the officials and the media have been absolutely bending over backwards to avoid using the "T" word, or call these people what they are, which is MUSLIM TERRORISTS. They try to chalk it up to workplace violence, pointing to the fact that this guy was apparently at a holiday party for work and stormed out angrily. Because yeah, all the time when people get mad, they go home and grab their AK-47s, tactical gear and bombs - all COMPLETELY normal things that most people just have laying around in the garage - and come back with other people who just, you know, HAPPEN to be in the mood to commit murder, on the spur of the moment, because their friend got into an argument at work.

Obama goes on the air this morning to say the country is safe from an ISIS attack. Never mind that one may have just happened. The liberals are out there foaming at the mouth for gun control ... of course, the people who want strict gun control are the same ones who are deathly afraid of offending anyone, so what they'll propose is a new regulation that creates a huge pain in the ass for normal people who own firearms, but in the interest of "fairness" the law is so hopelessly naive that anyone with bad intentions can easily sidestep it in about 5 minutes.

For all his other shortcomings, Trump is the only politician I hear making any kind of sense when talking about how to deal with these extremist assholes. You don't hold out your hand to them, and you don't worry about fighting fair; you steamroll them, and when the rats gather back up after a few months, you steamroll them again. If you use chickenshit tactics to deal with it like we've been doing, the enemy will see that you're a chickenshit and act accordingly - this is basically the entire reason why ISIS has been able to come into existence in the first place. Nobody wants to get into or prolong wars, but if you give me a choice between letting terrorist assholes run around freely and crossing your fingers that they won't figure out how to get here and shoot up a school or a mall, versus wishing them good luck trying to attack the 101st Airborne Division with their machine gun in the back of a 1998 Toyota pickup truck, guess which one makes more sense, huh?

I think these shootings are going to happen more and more frequently and we're going to see American's taking up arms in record numbers. CCW permits and fire arm sales are going to go through the roof.

It's amazing to me ... it's been 24 hours, and they've announced the suspect was a muslim extremist, yet the narrative is STILL all about gun control. Like - what in the actual fuck are these people thinking? That radical islamic terrorists are going to be stopped by a piece of paper?

    Breaking via CBS News:

JUST IN: #SanBernardino suspects were looking at ISIS propaganda online, source tells CBS News https://t.co/VCykxixRWA

    — CBS News (@CBSNews) December 3, 2015

As Hotline’s Josh Kraushaar points out, the tragedy in San Bernardino appears to be a “classic case” of an ISIS INSPIRED ATTACK.

classic case of an ISIS-*inspired* attack, that law enforcement officials (and this week’s GW report) have warned. https://t.co/WJOJGVkbOe

    — Josh Kraushaar (@HotlineJosh) December 3, 2015

A live CBS broadcast has since confirmed the reports on air.

For those of you who think mass surveillance works: This guy wasn't on anybody's radar despite all of the red flags.
Don't think for a second that the government tracking your phone calls, snooping your e-mail, and tracking your google searches does anything to keep you safe. The only person you can rely on for protection is you.

White House launches unprecedented personal attack on Trump

‘Vacuous sloganeering, outright lies, fake hair’

White House launches unprecedented personal attack on Donald Trump, saying his call for a Muslim entry ban ‘disqualifies him from serving as president’

The White House took off the gloves today as it addressed Donald Trump's proposal to ban Muslims from coming to the country - even taking shots at the businessman's appearance - but the billionaire responded to the backlash in typically bullish fashion. Trump was the butt of a string of insults thrown by White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, who described the tycoon's rhetoric as 'offensive bluster' and claimed he has 'fake hair.' Pushed to defend the unusually pithy personal attack on Trump's blonde mane, Earnest said, 'he's got a rather outrageous appearance.'

The back-and-forth came as the remarks ignited a firestorm in the Republican Party - and around the world, with Britain's prime minister David Cameron seizing on Trump's claim that the country has no-go radicalized zones with his spokesman calling it 'divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong'. In France the country's prime minister used Twitter to condemn Trump, saying: 'Our ONLY enemy is radical Islam.'

    Re: California shootings

So today they announced that the shooter and his wife were both "radicalized" before they met and before she came to the U.S.

In other words, the immigration system failed, and let a radical terrorist into the country, who then very quickly turned around and committed mass murder.

And then we're told don't worry, we need to trust that same immigration system will keep out ALL radical terrorists, and if we don't trust that, we're intolerant. (And in the same press conference, making fun of a guy for wearing a wig - both SUPER professional for the president of the United States, and ... what was that about tolerance?)

Really, can someone explain to me just what the fuck is going on here? If 14 people were killed because Toyota used defective seat belts in their cars, they'd do a general recall even though most of them were probably safe. When they had a series of electrical fires on the Boeing Dreamliner because of faulty wiring, they grounded the whole fleet until they fixed the problem.

But no, if it's other people doing the killing, better not do anything about it, because you might offend someone. What kind of fucked-up Bizarro world your mind must be in to follow that kind of logic is completely beyond me. Political correctness is probably the worst thing to happen to this country in the last 30 years.

There's an entire generation of snowflakes that's been raised on this naive Kumbaya bullshit, who don't understand that the world is actually a real place, with very real dangers, such as people who REALLY DO want to kill you.

It's all theoretical to them. Racism is just a series of Facebook posts about the latest black guy to get shot by the police. Terrorism is an imaginary thing you see on TV. Guns are irrelevant, because really, please - who'd ever want to own something as crude and primitive as a gun? That's only for Bruce Willis, and REALLY - zomfg, Bruce Willis? That's just a bad Halloween costume, lmao. It's all a fucking joke to them. It's not real. 112 dead. 931 shares. Ashlee Anderson, Aiden Smith, and 73 other people like this. Congrat-u-fucking-lations.

So of course their answers are stupid, theoretical, works-on-paper bullshit as well. They don't know anything else. They don't. And when the world punches them in the mouth, their entire plan goes to shit. Yes, even Mike fucking Tyson, who is dumb as a bag of hammers, understands this better than they do. If it was just us looking at someone else, it'd be sad, but somehow these idiots have basically been given carte blanche to dictate public policy and decide the narrative of every event that actually does affect the rest of us sane people. I don't like Donald Trump as an individual, but I really get his appeal - it's for people who are just sick of all the bullshit, and that's the best we've got. The fact that he can STILL be leading the polls, after so many things that would ordinarily get someone banned from politics for life, just goes to show how deep of a problem this is.
