Panthers 'dogs in Dallas? 'Disrespectful,' says Rivera

    The Carolina Panthers feel overlooked.

Undefeated and coming off a 44-16 mauling of the Washington Redskins, coach Ron Rivera was surprised to hear Monday that his 10-0 team rolls into Dallas on Thanksgiving as underdogs to the 3-7 Cowboys.

I can totally see them being underdogs. It's a short week. It's in Dallas. Romo is back. Carolina coming off a big win against Washington. All signs point to a Dallas win.

Why does Rivera even care about who is favored?

The Cowboys can win, but a 10-0 team should never be underdog against a 3-7 team, regardless of the reasons.

    Dallas sux.

Rivera posted that in the lockerroom.

I hope Cam does his dance all over that field.

What has been the record of the road team in Thursday contests in recent years?

Last team to be 10-0 and a dog was the 85 Bears. The proceeded to win that game 44-0.

Also: Cowboys have been favored in each of their past four Thanksgiving games but failed to cover in all. Lost two straight up. I think they are just basing it on short week and the road?

If money is going to be on the Cryboys, why not make them the favorites? More likely to make a killing that way.

So Dallas is favored because Romo beat the Giants (barely), Eagles, and Dolphins?

Yep, you read that right. The Panthers finally drop a game. The Cowboys know they must string together wins to have any shot at the NFC East title after losing seven straight without Tony Romo. The outcome listed here is due to several factors:

    1) Romo and the Cowboys' passing attack will present as large of a challenge as any offense Carolina has faced yet.
    2) Josh Norman hasn't yet faced a Dez Bryant-like receiver (with an adequate QB throwing him the ball).
    3) The short week on the road after a blowout win plays to the Cowboys' favor.
    4) The Panthers are due for a fall at some point. This matchup at AT&T Stadium presents their toughest matchup in the remaining schedule.
    5) Don't worry, the Bucs' awful unis still won't catch Riverboat Ron's guys.

Not one, but TWO pick 6s in the first half by Romo. Then they pulled him for another injury in the second half.

Aren't the odds based on who bets on what team? If you have a LOAD of people betting on the Cowboys, they become the favorites.

    Right?

That being the case, it is the betters that "disrespected" them.
