Where's the beef Mizzou? This dog don't hunt.

I have yet to see one piece of evidence that supports the notion that the Univ of Missouri campus was racist, or that the Univ President was remiss in any way to address true racial inequity on the campus. Of course all the sporting press jumps right on the liberal bandwagon and trashes a man's career and reputation without offering the slightest bit of evidence proving or even suggesting dereliction of duty in addressing racial harassment on the campus.

    http://thefederalist.com/2015/11/10/...-a-giant-hoax/

Something stinks at the University of Missouri. A reported incident of vandalism at Mizzou sparked university-wide protests, a boycott by the school’s 4-5 football team, and eventually the resignation of the university’s president and chancellor.

There’s only one problem: no evidence of the alleged incident, in which a poop swastika on the wall of a dormitory restroom was reported, has ever been made publicly available. Did this incident occur as reported, or was it an immaculate defecation that formed the foundation of an unimaginable deception?

According to Billy Donley, the president of Mizzou’s Residence Halls Association (RHA), the poop swastika was reported at approximately 2:00 a.m. on October 24, 2015.

“On Saturday, October 24th, at 2:00am an individual came into one of the restrooms in Gateway Hall and drew a swastika on the wall with their own feces,” Donley wrote in a letter several days after the alleged incident. “This event happened while many students, including myself, were already asleep.”

Later in his letter, Donley noted that he only found out about the alleged vandalism incident “via a flyer posted on the walls” of the dorm.

Although Donley did not respond to repeated requests for comment prior to publication, The Federalist spoke with two RHA staffers while trying to get in touch with Donley. Neither had personally witnessed the poop swastika. When asked if there was any photographic evidence of the alleged incident, one staffer replied, “Not to my knowledge.”

Frankie Minor, the director of residential life at Mizzou, did not respond to repeated requests for comment on whether he personally saw the poop swastika or any photographic evidence of it.

The Federalist also attempted to contact Christian Basi, the associate director of the University of Missouri News Bureau, who previously told the Columbia Missourian on Oct. 30 that the incident had been immediately reported to Mizzou police. Basi did not respond to requests for comment prior to the publication of this article.

Calls to the University of Missouri Police Department, which responded to and investigated the alleged poop swastika incident, also failed to yield any evidence of the poopstika.

Multiple activists on Twitter pointed to this photo as proof that the incident occurred as reported, but a Google search for the same image shows that it has been floating around the Internet for nearly a year. A reddit thread from November of 2014 appears to contain the earliest publication of the photo in question, meaning that it most certainly does not constitute proof of the incident alleged to have occurred at Mizzou on October 24, 2015.

Maj. Brian Weimer, the public information officer for the Mizzou police department, told The Federalist that he also did not personally see the poop swastika that was reported to police. When asked if anyone in the police department personally witnessed the swastika, Maj. Weimer clammed up and referred all questions about the incident to the university’s custodian of public records.

The Federalist also repeatedly contacted @ConcernedStudent1950, the Twitter account representing Mizzou protesters who issued a series of demands of university administrators after the alleged poop swastika incident made headlines. The individuals running the @CS1950 account failed to produce any photographic or documentary evidence of the incident prior to publication of this article.

While a mere absence of evidence is not synonymous with evidence of absence, the complete lack of any verifiable photographic evidence of the alleged poop swastika and the lack of any named eye witnesses raises serious questions about the veracity of a racially charged incident of vandalism that eventually led to the resignation of the University of Missouri’s two top administrators.

Did the incident happen as reported, or did two university administrators resign over protests that were sparked by a hoax? And if the incident did happen as reported, a proposition for which no publicly available evidence currently exists, how did university administrators and law enforcement authorities confirm that the vandalism was driven by racial animosity, as opposed to being promulgated as a public relations stunt meant to tar the university for failing to provide an environment free of racist invective? It would not be the first time a public university fell victim to a high profile PR stunt that was later revealed to be a fabrication. Either way, students, their parents, university employees, and Missouri taxpayers deserve solid, verifiable answers based on clear evidence about what exactly transpired in that Gateway Wall bathroom in the early morning of October 24.

Under the provisions of Missouri’s broad public records laws, The Federalist has requested from the University of Missouri copies of any and all records relating to the alleged vandalism, including any police or incident reports describing the investigation of the poop swastika by law enforcement authorities, as well as any photographic records of the alleged swastika, and will make that information available if and when it is received from university officials.

Re: Where's the beef Mizzou? This dog don't hunt.

We’re still not sure what exactly happed at Mizzou (we try to get to the bottom of it here), but at the center of it seems to be student Jonathan Butler going on hunger strike because…someone yelled a racial slur at him? Apparently it was traumatic enough he “updated his will and signed a ‘do not resuscitate’ order.”

Ok, so we have a college student who was “oppressed” at one of the top universities in the country. Someone may have yelled something. His SJW friends claim that someone smeared a poop swastika on a mirror. Though of course, there is no proof. Because when you see a poop-swastika, you don’t document that crap, you keep walking and Tweet about it. Also, we’re sure white privilege played a part in all this somehow.

Here’s the rub though. Butler complains about white privilege and how it played a role in his oppression and poop-swastikas? I wish I was this oppressed… (special thanks to the Tweets of Paul Watson and Jim Hoft for bringing this to our attention):

Johnathan Butler is a member of a prominent Omaha family. The newspaper says Butler’s father is Eric L. Butler, executive vice president for sales and marketing for the Union Pacific Railroad. His 2014 compensation was $8.4 million, according to regulatory filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

That’s right. The student in the middle of all this Mizzou hype? He’s just another overprivileged college student living off of daddy’s millions.

In other words, he’s your typical modern liberal activist.

Allow us to re-cap the timeline for those who haven’t been following or are confused about WTF is going on with this school.

Kid complains about racial slurs. Goes on hunger strike.
Students claim to be victims of “systemic” racism on campus. Zero photos, video or any proof provided.
Students claim to find a “poop swastika” on campus. No photos, video or any proof provided.
No proof ever provided for “systemic” problem, so the “system president” Tim Wolfe doesn’t really do much.
Students get so angry and start protesting that Tim Wolfe resigns. To this day, nobody knows what he did wrong. No really, even MSNBC said “… huh?” (watch the video of a confused MSNBC here).
Students form another protest. They lock arms to lock out the press, physically assaulting a student reporter simply trying to document the whole ordeal (see the unbelievable video on said altercation here).
That night, SJW students claim there is gunfire on campus, and an official rally from the KKK. No photos, video or any proof provided.
All of the claims from last night are proven to be verifiably false.
Now we find out the “original” hunger-strike protestor is actually part of a multi-millionaire family.
You cannot make this crap up. But if you’re wondering what to do with your crap, maybe make a winking smily face.

Thank you for this. I've been purposely not clicking on the million stories about this, so your recap is very helpful. That looks like about all I needed to know on the subject.

But for reals though....a poop swastika??? Who does that shit?

Dr. Dale Brigham, considered one of the most beloved professors at the University of Missouri, has been forced to resign after initially refusing to cancel an exam for students who claimed to feel “unsafe.”

“If you don’t feel safe coming to class, then don’t come to class,” Dr. Brigham told his students. “I will be there, and there will be an exam administered in our class,” he continued, imploring his students to stand up to the bullies on campus. “If you give into bullies, they win. The only way bullies are defeated is by standing up to them.”

Dr. Brigham was sharply criticized in the media for requiring his students to attend class and take their exam. Salon ran a story with the headline “White Missouri professor shames black students for heeding violent threats.”The Washington Post featured similar coverage of “a white professor” who “challenged his students to come to class.”

Those upset with Dr. Brigham’s decision to hold class took to Twitter calling for Brigham to be fired and calling him “a failure as a human being.”

Under intense pressure, Dr. Brigham has both cancelled the exam and resigned from the university, according to screenshots posted online of an email from Dr. Brigham to his students.

“The exam is cancelled. Our students will be able to take the exam at an alternate date with no loss of points,” Dr. Brigham told students. “No one will have to come to class today. And, I am resigning my position.”

One University of Missouri student told Campus Reform that Dr. Brigham, who he called “one of the most beloved professors at Mizzou,” was forced to resign.

“His class was one of the most popular at Mizzou and he was the friendliest teacher I've ever had. It's a shame that he's leaving while Melissa Click stays,” the student continued. The student also told Campus Reform that campus was open and classes were being held, but “false KKK threats” caused a “panic” among students.

Many Missouri students have taken to Twitter to voice their displeasure at Dr. Brigham’s departure, calling him “ the nicest guy,” and their favorite professor.

There is no reasoning with the left. Once you defy them in the slightest, even if you're one of them, the lynch mob comes out and you're all over. Everything you ever stood for is now tainted. A lifetime of doing your job well and championing for the cause of what you knew was right and good has been re-categorized. Your legacy is now that of a bigot, bully, and racist. This is the new reality of our academic world. Well Professor I hate to say it but you fell victim to the world your kind created. Now as your final years pass on you can watch as the Rome you built burns us all down.

Mizzou student body president admits to spreading false rumor KKK was on campus

Much like the lie known as “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot,” rumors and unsubstantiated allegations continue to flow freely on the University of Missouri campus, with some of the worst of it coming from student body president Payton Head.

Head, who had previously claimed he was called the “n-word” from a passing pickup truck — one of the actions that led to the school’s president, Tim Wolfe, resigning on Monday — was at it again on Tuesday.

This time, he took to social media to warn students about the KKK being on campus, according to Twitchy.com:

There’s only one small problem — it wasn’t true … never mind that this came from the president of the student body!

Dear Mizzou Morons and ‘The Boys Who Cried Racist,”

In a matter of days, you’ve managed to make yourselves look like the biggest crybabies the world has seen outside of the World Cup. In the time we’ve laughed at you, one thing has happened: you’ve trivialized real racism. Congratulations turd-nuggets, by trying to make yourselves victims of an entirely fabricated problem, you’ve put in danger real victims of real problems. Because yes, racism exists. When we see real examples of racism, we condemn it entirely. Racism is terrible and it affects good people. However, when you cry “racism” at everything, you desensitize real incidences of racism. Kind of like how saying “RAPE” when it isn’t rape, belittles actual rape victims. Perhaps you missed that story when you were growing up, but there once was a boy who cried “wolf” to get attention. When the wolf showed up for realzies, the boy cried, wailed and screamed like a pansexual feminist but no one came to save him. The feminist ate him and pooped him out in the shape of a swastika. True story.

Enter big bad fake wolf Shaun King, his skin as white as the growing ice sheet in Antarctica

ittle Shaun says this whole Mizzou controversy has been the most hateful, violent year toward black people ever. When he says “ever” what he actually means is since he signed up for Facebook. I say that only because Shaun King is as truthful as his photographs. America has been a pretty decent place since the civil rights era. Has it been perfect? Of course not, but a horrible place? No. Courtesy reminder, Oprah, a black woman, is one of the wealthiest women in the world. We have a black president. America is home to black millionaires. There’s another black guy running for president this time around, too, and frankly it’s a bit of a step down from neurosurgery. So how does this fake controversy at Mizzou suddenly send the country back to pre-civil rights era discrimination?

Answer’s simple. The boys who cried racist. In no particular order, here are the men who poop fake stories in the shapes childhood toys:

Congressmen Clyburn and Senator Lewis claimed they were repeatedly called the N-word by Tea Party members on the capital steps. Evidence? Not so much, just the testimony from the politicians themselves. Video? Don’t be silly. There was zero evidence to support the claims, while countless angles and hours of footage suggested otherwise. When Andrew Breitbart offered $10K to a black charity to anyone who could produce evidence, no one came forward. Zero.

Rep. Lewis, if you can’t do that, I’ll give him a backup plan: a lie detector test. If you provide verifiable video evidence showing that a single racist epithet was hurled as you walked among the tea partiers, or you pass a simple lie detector test, I will provide a $10K check to the United Negro College Fund.

Then Mike Brown, a dewey-eyed, college-bound, all around lovable teddy bear who was gunned down as his hands were up, pleading for the racist cop not to shoot him. Or so we were told. Narrative set, mindless automatons eagerly spread the story like herpes. Only nothing in the original narrative about Mike Brown was true. Mike Brown was a punk who assaulted police officer, Darren Wilson, and tried to take Darren Wilson’s gun. Mike Brown got shot as a result. Kids, if you want to avoid getting shot by a cop, don’t beat him up and try to take his gun. Science.

Shaun King, our favorite fake colored man. He’s like the flavor of the week that’s so popular, the ice cream chain keeps him on. But he’s more vanilla than he is double fudge brownie. Which, by the way, he claimed when he said he was the victim of a hate crime (yes really, he checked the “caucasian” box when claiming to be the victim of an anti-black hate-crime). Yeah, if you’re going to lie about yourself, try to be consistent. Put that piece of advice right under the tidbit about how not to get shot by a cop. When presented with countless evidence that Shaun was a white dude, including being offered fat stacks of cash to submit to a simple DNA test, he provided zero proof.

Which brings us to Mizzou and the alleged racial slurs and the supposed “poop swastika” found in the school. It was alleged in 2015, if there were a poop swastika, there would be a picture. Period. I once saw a chick taking a selfie with a stuffed animal in a store. How can you not take a photo of a poop swastika? That shit needs to get on Instagram like yesterday. Which means the shitstika was a lie, which we know now. Yeah, the poop swastika was from a YEAR ago as part of an online trolling campaign, totally unrelated to whatever is going on at Mizzou.

The shitstika was just the tip of the crap-berg. There were claims of gunshots on campus. Again, no footage, no audio, nothing. No proof. There were claims the KKK was having a rally on campus. No footage, no audio, nothing. No proof. Because it’s fake. The lie-spreader has even admitted to crying KKK. A girl claims she was chased down and threatened by white supremacists. No footage, no audio, nothing. No proof. Because it never happened.

Protestors actively blocked out any reporters from documenting what was really going on. Freedom of the press wasn’t allowed at Mizzou. The truth wasn’t allowed at Mizzou. Yeah, we have proof. Read Students at Mizzou Create Human Shield to Block Reporters.

What did happen at Mizzou? A student went on a hunger strike in an effort to get someone to resign. The coward resigned. We then learn the student striking was Johathan Butler, a silver spoon, 7-year student from a family worth $20 million. Oh, and we have proof. Read Oppressed Mizzou ‘Hunger Strike’ Student is Actually Hilariously Wealthy.

Now black students on campus are calling for violent retaliatory responses to incidents that NEVER EVEN HAPPENED. Plenty of proof. What happens if the KKK actually shows up some day? What happens when there really is a heinous crime committed against blacks at Mizzou? It will be but white noise, and people will tune it out. Because #BlackLivesMatter, Mizzou and SJWS… are the boys who cried racist.

These idiots are the ones making black students feel threatened. You don't need to have the Klan throwing bricks for black students to reasonably feel unsafe. You just need to tell everyone it's happening and you'll get the same effect.

Plus you have the three morons who tweeted death threats last night. They would never have thought to do it if the morons hadn't created a fake story.

Re: Where's the beef Mizzou? This dog don't hunt.

    http://claremontindependent.com/we-dissent/

The student protests that have swept through Claremont McKenna College (CMC) over the past few days—and the ensuing fallout—have made us disappointed in many of those involved.

First, former Dean Mary Spellman. We are sorry that your career had to end this way, as the email in contention was a clear case of good intentions being overlooked because of poor phrasing. However, we are disappointed in you as well. We are disappointed that you allowed a group of angry students to bully you into resignation. We are disappointed that you taught Claremont students that reacting with emotion and anger will force the administration to act. We are disappointed that when two students chose to go on a hunger strike until you resigned, you didn’t simply say, “so what?” If they want to starve themselves, that’s fine—you don’t owe them your job. We are disappointed that you and President Chodosh put up with students yelling and swearing at you for an hour. You could have made this a productive dialogue, but instead you humored the students and allowed them to get caught up in the furor.

Above all, we are disappointed that you and President Chodosh weren’t brave enough to come to the defense of a student who was told she was “derailing” because her opinions regarding racism didn’t align with those of the mob around her. Nor were you brave enough to point out that these protesters were perfectly happy to use this student to further their own agenda, but turned on her as soon as they realized she wasn’t supporting their narrative. These protesters were asking you to protect your students, but you didn’t even defend the one who needed to be protected right in front of you.

Second, President Chodosh. We were disappointed to see you idly stand by and watch students berate, curse at, and attack Dean Spellman for being a “racist.” For someone who preaches about “leadership” and “personal and social responsibility,” your actions are particularly disappointing. You let your colleague, someone who has been helping your administration for the past three years and the college for six years, be publicly mocked and humiliated. Why? Because you were afraid. You were afraid that students would also mock and humiliate you if you defended Dean Spellman, so you let her be thrown under the bus. You were so afraid that it only took you five minutes to flip-flop on their demand for a temporary “safe space” on campus. Your fear-driven action (or lack thereof) only further reinforced the fear among the student body to speak out against this movement. We needed your leadership more than ever this week, and you failed us miserably.

Third, ASCMC President Will Su. As the representative of CMC’s entire student body, we are disappointed in you for the manner in which you called for the resignation of junior class president Kris Brackmann and for so quickly caving in to the demands of a few students without consulting the student body as a whole. If you truly cared about representing all of CMC’s interests, you would have at the very least solicited opinions from outside of the movement and your Executive Board. You have shut down any room for debate among the student body with your full endorsement of this movement and its demands, failing to give concerned students an opportunity to speak. We are disappointed that you did not allow for any time for reflection before making your quick executive decisions to announce a student-wide endorsement of this movement and to grant these students a temporary “safe space” in the ASCMC offices.

To our fellow Claremont students, we are disappointed in you as well. We are ashamed of you for trying to end someone’s career over a poorly worded email. This is not a political statement––this is a person’s livelihood that you so carelessly sought to destroy. We are disappointed that you chose to scream and swear at your administrators. That is not how adults solve problems, and your behavior reflects poorly on all of us here in Claremont. This is not who we are and this is not how we conduct ourselves, but this is the image of us that has now reached the national stage.

We are disappointed in your demands. If you want to take a class in “ethnic, racial, and sexuality theory,” feel free to take one, but don’t force such an ideologically driven course on all CMC students. If the dearth of such courses at CMC bothers you, maybe you should have chosen a different school. If students chose to attend Caltech and then complained about the lack of literature classes, that’s on them. And though it wouldn’t hurt to have a more diverse faculty, the demand that CMC increase the number of minority faculty members either rests on the assumption that CMC has a history of discriminating against qualified professors of color, or, more realistically, it advocates for the hiring of less qualified faculty based simply on the fact that they belong to marginalized groups. A hiring practice of this sort would not benefit any CMC students, yourselves included.

We are disappointed in the fact that your movement has successfully managed to convince its members that anyone who dissents does so not for intelligent reasons, but due to moral failure or maliciousness. We are disappointed that you’ve used phrases like “silence is violence” to not only demonize those who oppose you, but all who are not actively supporting you. We are most disappointed, however, in the rhetoric surrounding “safe spaces.” College is the last place that should be a safe space. We come here to learn about views that differ from our own, and if we aren’t made to feel uncomfortable by these ideas, then perhaps we aren’t venturing far enough outside of our comfort zone. We would be doing ourselves a disservice to ignore viewpoints solely on the grounds that they may make us uncomfortable, and we would not be preparing ourselves to cope well with adversity in the future. Dealing with ideas that make us uncomfortable is an important part of growing as students and as people, and your ideas will inhibit opportunities for that growth.

We are adults, and we need to be mature enough to take ownership of and responsibility for our feelings, rather than demanding that those around us cater to our individual needs. The hypocrisy of advocating for “safe spaces” while creating an incredibly unsafe space for President Chodosh, former Dean Spellman, the student who was “derailing,” and the news media representatives who were verbally abused unfortunately seemed to soar over many of your heads.

Lastly, we are disappointed in students like ourselves, who were scared into silence. We are not racist for having different opinions. We are not immoral because we don’t buy the flawed rhetoric of a spiteful movement. We are not evil because we don’t want this movement to tear across our campuses completely unchecked.

We are no longer afraid to be voices of dissent.
