Let's give credit where credit is due: We found a good kicker.
He's so good, I bothered to memorize his name: Boswell.
That is a pretty major hole fixed. Dude has been perfect.

Isn't that a picture of Suisham?

I'll just pretend we traded that 6th round pick for the Boz so I can feel better...
I didn't like the move after looking at his kicking percentage in college. I have been off-base so far. The guy has been a stud so far

Key word's being so far. Right now the guy has a ton of confidence, the major test will be after he misses one. How does he rebound from an important miss? That's how you determine if he's a long term answer or not.
When they signed him one of the reasons I held out hope is that you never know the quality of coaching they got in college? Maybe after he graduated he signed a personal coach and /or trainer? Maybe the Steelers have a kicking guru that helped him?
Anyway enjoy the ride while it lasts. One thing's for sure, we never win the Chargers or Cardinal games without his steady kicking. You also have to wonder if the fates would have been different if Tomlin has him kick the 50 yarder in the second quarter that could have tied the game? (in K.C)
My own personal opinion is that given our situation at qb you go for the more sure thing and get the tie there. Playing from behind all game is not ideal at any time, but particularly with a back up qb on the road.
