But Archer was such a good returner!!! WTF...
Our luck in return men is the same as our luck with DBs. Shitty.
(AB is the rare exception and is an All World WR)
"I love the guy and I’ll never give up on him"
-Danny Smith on Dri Archer
Trade Danny Smith to Buffalo for a case of hot sauce and some napkins.
All Defense!
Danny Smith's special teams are a huge improvement over the special teams from the early Tomlin days.
The coverage is vastly improved which is the main thing for me. Kickoff returns happen so infrequently they aren't a big deal and AB is a great punt returner.
I'm just happy blown ST coverage isn't costing the Steelers games any more. The Steelers ST is so delightfully average! A huge improvement!
some quotes....
Archer was released and claimed off waivers by the Buffalo Bills. This is where the story gets good. Why? Because he never showed up.
I never even talked to the kid, so we'll see what happens," said Ryan, via Don Banks of Sports Illustrated. "He won't return a call. Is it him not wanting to be a Bill, or is it something else?
I don't know, but I guess there's a reason Pittsburgh let him go [last November]. But when you find something out, let us know, because I've never even talked to him." Rex Ryan

Coverage game has been fine. Return game has consistently been bad, consistently been a mess and has shown little to no improvement. Smith isn't as great as his supporters want to make him out to be. But you are right, the coverage game is better than earlier in Tomlin's career.
As for the Punter, I've relegated myself to the fact that the Steelers will never have a punter that could average over "40-yards" per punt...lol.
