    Josh Miller circa Bill Cowher?

Scobee just sucks this year. He cost us a winnable game, some would argue two (although I still think we would've probably lost in New England given our strategy and the way we were playing). Completely unacceptable.
It's easier to kick with the wind.

I wouldn't put the entire blame on Scobee. How about score some TDs instead of relying on your kicker to bail you out? Tomlin, Haley and Vick deserve most of it.

looked at his bio from Rice and its a pretty solid bio , has a good percentage if touchbacks on kickoffs and Rice went for a ton of long kicks in which he ranked tops in the nation at hitting .

that being said the other guys brought in where not of very high quality , the Redskins old kicker has had kicks blocked and missed extra points as well so lets wait and see

Whatever happened to the young kickers out of Denver and New Orleans that didn't make their respective squads? Weren't they supposed to be decent "prospects"?

According to who? He didn't miss a single kick in the preseason he played.

Oops, I mixed up kickers. I was thinking of Swayze Waters.

As for Rugland, I heard it was about his accuracy in practice. I also think there was something about his approach to the ball being slow.
