He needs 223 yards to have 40,000 career yards and Ben has had at least 300 yards in 10 of his last 12 games.

The guy is a SOLID league MVP candidate and probably should've been in the conversation last year and there wasn't a mention of him anywhere other than a couple guys trying to be "outrageous".
From the headline at first glance, i was thinking that would be a career game for sure, 40k yards next week would indeed be alot haha!
Come on, FS, your Goodell hate is getting a little cartoonish.
Unfortunately for Ben, there's always been someone just a tad bit better than him. Sometimes its Brady*, sometimes its Rodgers, sometimes its someone else. But I do think he's playing at a level now that will make him a serious contender in that discussion. Funny how many of us thought Ben wasn't playing completely up to his level a few years ago, like he had just a few other things to work on. Guess we were all right. Because the Ben that's played most of last year and the first two games of this year is lights-out better than the Ben of the first nine or so years of his career—and he was good then, too. Can't wait to see him next week with his number one RB as well. I'm almost willing to bet he'll break five hundred yards.
Ben should get it done this week. 200 yards is almost a gimme in today's NFL.
Sorry, but that's the way I see it and nobody's going to convince me otherwise.
Maybe if the dickhead hadn't gone out of his way to pile on during Super Bowl week back in 2011 while at the same time praising Vick effusively, I might feel differently about it.
After all, it wasn't like Roethlisberger acted like a petulant little brat and took the league to federal court, is it? Maybe in hindsight he should have.
