Buncha buffoons. Who cares what they think? It's not like any of our guys guaranteed a win or even that we would shut down Gronk.
I wish I could make a lot of money sitting in front on a camera and just rambling on about what I think.

I'm glad someone posted this besides me. I heard them say this today, and they were saying the exact same thing I was yesterday. The fact that a LB, who hasn't done a single thing of note in real NFL games, is talking smack about how to stop the league's best TE is out of line. Gronk is half a foot taller than Shazier and will own him if they choose to go that route. Does Shazier not think other teams have tried to jam him at the line before? I think Shazier could be great and hopefully he will be a playmaker for years with Pgh. But he was speaking out of line on this one.

They never said they would "shut him down" but it was more than implied they thought by jamming him, they could greatly reduce his production. We will see in 2 nights.
I am laughing at Smith's comment that you have to be intelligent to play in the NFL. He says you cannot be an idiot. Sorry Smith, but the NFL is full of idiots.
Hater = Realist
Bayless has always been an idiot with literally nothing worthwhile to say.
And I stopped taking Smith seriously years ago when Bill Walton absolutely owned him in a debate about basketball and instead of conceding, tucking his tail between his legs and shutting the fuck up about it like any reasonable person who is so badly outgunned in an argument would do, he just continued to talk louder and louder like that would somehow win him the argument - now THAT was talking out of line.
Yeah, I think I'll argue with a basketball HoFer about basketball, and then progressively increase my speaking volume when he starts to naturally own my ass in order to "win" the debate.![]()
I think First Take is the best sports show on TV. These guys go beyond just parroting popular takes, they actually apply thought and have original opinions, not just regurgitate crap. I DVR them every day.
I haven't watched anything on ESPN for years.
Isn't jamming at the line kind of the standard cliche response when asked what a team plans to do to slow down a great receiver?
What are they gonna say? We plan on letting him get a free release at the line and playing 25 yards off of him because we can't cover him and we are terrified?
Smith and Bayless

Unwatchable, both of them. I would rather get the dry heaves from watching people randomly vomit in the street than watch either of those two spout off.
All Defense!
Tebow still makes 50k a clip for giving speeches. He won't be selling insurance any time soon, plus he will get his college commentator gig back in a snap.
And, yea Skip isn't right on EVERYTHING but he does nail his takes a lot. At least he has the stones to put his takes out there.

I LMAO when Stephen goes into his bored face. I literally LOL.
You don't have to be any smarter to sit behind a mic. and talk about football either. I use to listen to Skip in Dallas just to see what idiotic garbage would come out of his mouth next.
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with what either of the players said. Is NE passing game largely based on timing? I think so. Will you be more successful if you can knock their receivers off their routs and mess with their timing, even their TE? I would think so. Unless there is something I haven't seen neither of the players said they were going to shut anyone down, just what they what they think they have to do to try and slow him down.
IMO, much to do about nothing.
