Yeah, we'll see. Maybe this will start to look better after a bunch of alcohol, which I plan to begin downing shortly. I guess it could be worse. We got two, maybe three very talented players; just feel we mismatched our priorities a lot. OLB wasn't a first or even a second need for me; it was a sort-of need. So it's good that we got a talented player but I'm not jumping up and down for joy. We really got hosed in the second round, although I applaud them for at least realizing how damn urgent the CB problem is and making some kind of effort. I can see what people are saying about WR depth, Wheaton's contract, etc., but dang. We left some defensive players out there for that who could've really helped us.
I don't know how much of the draft I'll be watching tomorrow; it's national Free Comic Book Day (no joke, look it up) and by the time that's over, I doubt there'll be much left in the draft that's interesting. Couple of DB and DT prospects but I doubt they'll be around by next pick; other than that, might as well get out the dartboard.
Most interesting thing I'll want to find out is what the hell happens with La'el Collins. He said if he wasn't drafted by the end of round 3 he'd sit out and go into next year's draft, but I think there's a rule against that and he'd be forced to become a street free agent. I wonder if someone rolls the dice with a low pick hoping he changes his mind between now and training camp when that all becomes clear. I don't know what to think of that - getting called to talk to the police in a murder case the day of the draft, but it really doesn't sound like he had anything to do with it.
