    Give a lib a fish--he eats for a day

Teach a lib to fish--he is back the next day asking for more free fish.

Why are the libs so giddy about this guy? Aren't most of them atheist, or at the very least agnostic?

Could it be his Chicken Little stance on global warming/climate change/whatever they're calling it this week? Could it be his "hip" anti-capitalism stance (yet I don't see him offering to spread any of the Vatican's considerable wealth)?

Fifty years of cold war against Marxism and now we have Obama and the Pope trying to accomplish what the USSR could not....no wonder the libs are cheering the Pope - he sounds just like Obama

On White House Lawn, Pope calls on U.S. to fight climate change

WASHINGTON - Pope Francis on Wednesday urged the United States to help tackle climate change and touched on other divisive U.S. political issues such as immigration and economic inequality on his first visit to the world's richest nation.

In a speech on the White House South Lawn on the first full day of his U.S. trip, the Argentine pontiff lauded President Barack Obama's efforts to reduce air pollution, months after Francis made the environment one of his top concerns by issuing a landmark encyclical letter to the church.

"It seems clear to me also that climate change is a problem which can no longer be left to a future generation. When it comes to the care of our common home, we are living at a critical moment of history," the pope said at a welcoming ceremony.

    US must pay climate reparations!

With the Paris World Climate Summit taking place in three months, scientists and politicians are raising concerns over the speed at which the effects of climate change are being addressed. Recently, developing countries demanded that the United States and other wealthy nations pay reparations for climate refugees affected in their respective countries.

It is past time for the United States to pay its dues as it has a long history of climate inaction, and in 1997 was the only wealthy nation not to ratify the Kyoto Protocol, a document which, for many nations, represented a first step in reducing their carbon footprint. The United States has already felt the effects of a changing climate, such as Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy, and should mitigate the consequences of these disasters with the country’s abundant resources that poorer nations cannot afford.

The question of environmental reparations is a matter of ecology and humanitarianism. A changing climate could lead to a dangerous trajectory where the fight for resources in countries no longer able to provide for their own populations engage in civil wars or genocide. If a country’s resources are not enough to maintain an entire population, more extremist leaders would be willing to eliminate part of the population in order to have enough resources for the remaining inhabitants.

Finally, the United States should pay reparations because it is a matter of justice. Unless international organizations like the United Nations begin to financially penalize the United States for its irresponsible actions, it is unlikely that we will change our attitude.

The question was meant to be rhetorical. He obviously parrots all their BS talking points.

Too hot? - Extreme Weather Reparations!
Too cold? - Extreme Weather Reparations!
Too much rain? - Extreme Weather Reparations!
Too little rain? - Extreme Weather Reparations!

Poor nations want U.S. to pay reparations for extreme weather

Poorer nations blame extreme weather-related disasters on climate change stemming from emission-polluting countries that have more developed and wealthier economies.

    Let there be light...

Donald Trump: ‘I Don’t Believe in Climate Change’

During a Thursday morning interview on CNN’s “New Day,” the New York real estate developer said that bad floods and other abnormal weather patterns have happened in the past, and the media fixated too much on the issue. You can’t watch the news anymore. It’s always weather,” said Mr. Trump, who added that China hasn’t done anything to address climate change.

“I believe in clean air. Immaculate air,” Mr. Trump said. “But I don’t believe in climate change.

    Obviously

I don't think the Pope mentioned Jesus even once in any of his speeches. Just the demon talk of 'socialism will make everything better.'

Just a veil, and not a very well constructed veil, on wealth redistribution.

So it's just not me yappin...

Pope Francis Just Echoed Obama's 'Offensive' Prayer Breakfast Remarks

The pontiff said all religions are susceptible to extremism and violence, just like Obama said in February.

While delivering the first address from a pontiff to a joint meeting of Congress on Thursday, Pope Francis touched on topics ranging from the plight of immigrants to climate change and the death penalty.

Many of his comments were lightly delivered and unlikely to elicit much controversy, though the reaction might be different if they were given by another world leader.
