Free agent cornerback Brice McCain has signed a two-year contract with the Miami Dolphins. McCain’s agent, David Canter, made the announcement on Twitter.
McCain played one season for the Steelers and started nine games after the coaches benched Cortez Allen. He had three interceptions, including one for a touchdown against Jacksonville, and he also had a fumble recovery.
McCain spent his first five NFL seasons with the Houston Texans. The Steelers have two experienced cornerbacks under contract for next season: Allen and veteran William Gay. They are expected to select at least one cornerback in the draft next month and can add to the position during free agency.
