Yeah, and the position incompatibility and cost aside, he's suspended for at least the first 6 games of the season, isn't he?

Wouldn't want him in any case, and not because of some overblown moral stance. Guys like that just tend to be unreliable and always getting into nightclub gunfights, etc. More trouble than they're worth at any price.

Our FO seems to have no idea of what a good CB is. Don't sign this guy. I'd rather take my chances in the draft than sign him.
I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest. If you can't take it, you shouldn't play!- Jack Lambert

uh, i dont know if you know this but nothing is a given in the NFL. You can create a hypothetical "if" about anything.

Big Ben could destroy his elbow next season, get Tommy John surgery and never play well ever again.

Ryan Shazier could have a random religious epiphany and retire.

Leveon Bell could Darrelle Revis his way into the biggest contract ever given to a RB.

We could burn our 1st 5 picks on neither OLB or CB.

Are you implying Antwon Blake and William Gay are highly unlikely to produce at their serviceable 2014 levels? I did say 2 of my 3 assumptions stood a good chance of happening and provided many reasons for optimism that MAYBE Cortez Allen could go back to playing as well as he did for the 1st 3 years of his career.

i tend to agree with the negative thoughts on patrick robinson. however i saw somewhere that he has been steadily improving and had his best season last year and allowed a QBR of 75.4

if he can maintain that level of play if he comes here ill take it

Equivalent to McCain with more upside I feel. He seems to have been developing nicely before his patellar injury so we'll see.

Stefen Wisniewski is still out there , I realize we do not need a center but he would be an amazing guard and built in backup center in 1 roster spot ( upgrade over Foster ) and up grade as backup Center as well ... for the right money would be a heck of a pickup and still young at just 25 years old

it was his best year as a pro , but also one marred with injury ..... I still think I would just as soon go after Tramon Williams or Kyle Wilson or maybe even both and let them fight for a job

I think Robinson has been hurt almost every year since his rookie year.

He once had great speed and agility to stay with deep routes, but kinda stunk on the short stuff.

High end athlete with bad technique. I have no idea if the injuries have robbed him of any of his physical upside or not.

According to the Steelers Depot report (http://www.steelersdepot.com/2015/03...ore-for-visit/), Moore is a "physical corner that is probably best suited to play in the slot." They already have Gay and Blake; how many slot corners do the Steelers need?

I think their plan is to sign all of them. Then assemble them into a super DB that can shut down one side of the field. Kind of like Voltron.

I think Sterling Moore is the yellow one, Blake is the green one. Gay is blue one. So they still need a black and blue one. Figure that means about 2-3 more slot corners to compete for the last pieces of the Steelers cornerback Voltron.

my thoughts exactly. i remember a couple people throwing his name around as a good option but i never knew until now that he was more a slot guy.

Santonio really, really wants to come back.

    http://www.si.com/nfl/video/2015/03/...=si_topstories

    Brown
    Bryant
    Wheaton

With Moore gone, and can we please forget about Justin Brown and Derek Moye, to be honest with you if it's cheap enough I would make sure Holmes understands his role as WR4, and sign him cheap, and just have Goodwin compete with late draft pick / udfa / camp bodies for that last WR spot.

that lisfranc injury from his time with the jets was BAD. it sapped all of his speed. id say he's pretty done and not worth the risk

Well if Smokey the Wide Receiver wanted to come back, he should have thought about that before he smoked weed and got his ass traded

He was becoming a mini Terrell Owens when we got rid of him. I don't want him back, and we most certainly don't him need.

He "got his ass traded" as a distraction from the issues around Ben's accusations. He's also matured since then - and it's not like we don't have other players who have lit one up. It's the least of my concerns... the lis franc is a far more legitimate concern, but that will shake out if we bring him in for a workout and physical.

If he has no problem being the #4 WR, and he's reasonably healthy, I say do it. He already knows a little bit of the offense and he knows Ben. His lack of speed isn't much of a concern if he can still get open. They already have Bryant who can stretch the field.

Voltron? Looks like a rip-off of the old Shogun Warrior "Gaiking":

Now THAT'S nostalgia, for you. And yes, I had all of them (the plastic 2-ft tall ones, the miniature die-cast metal 7-inch tall ones which could be reconfigured into other things before anyone knew what a Transformer was, the vehicles, etc.) when I was a kid in the late '70s - blew most of my paper route money on them.

Japan really cranked out bad-ass action figures back in the day...

Steelers expecting visit from former Cowboys CB

The Steelers continue to scour the free-agent market for an experienced cornerback.

After hosting Patrick Robinson on Monday, Cowboys cornerback Sterling Moore will visit the Steelers on Tuesday, according to a pair of industry sources.

Moore, a restricted free agent, was not given a qualifying offer by the Cowboys, allowing him to sign elsewhere. A qualifying offer would've cost the Cowboys $1.5 million.

Moore played all 16 games (started seven) for the Cowboys last year as a corner and nickel back. He didn't have an interception, but broke up 12 passes and played 72 percent of the team's snaps.

Moore, 25, originally was signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of SMU in 2011, but moved on to play 1 1⁄2 seasons with the Patriots and the past 1 1⁄2 with the Cowboys.

The Steelers are in the market for an experienced cornerback since deciding not re-sign veteran Ike Taylor and losing Brice McCain to the Dolphins via free agency last week.

We have enough of those. Why not a guy who can play outside? The steelers' secondary is like a nickelback concert.
