Could Dick LeBeau lure Steelers players to Titans?

The Titans’ coaching staff has a long list of ties to Pittsburgh.

Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor believes the Steel City connections could grow even longer thanks to the offseason addition of defensive coach Dick LeBeau.

Taylor, a 12-year pro who is scheduled to become a free agent next month, has made no secret he’d like to play for LeBeau in 2015. He believes other Steelers would follow him.

Coach LeBeau recruits himself. He is like Coach K; you know what you are getting yourself into,’’ said Taylor, referring to Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski. “You don’t have to ask the veteran guys who have played under him. Just say Coach LeBeau wants you to come, and they’d say: “What time? That’s the way people feel about him.”

Definitely! LeBeau its a great coach, a players coach. Many of the veterans played their best years for him. I think he will be a major influence no many free agents to make the final decision.

Ike would like to follow LeBeau because he knows its the only chance he has to play football. If LeBeau grants his wish, I think its pretty clear Dick has lost it.

I don't believe Harrison will play anywhere but Pittsburgh. It would look pretty stupid to retire as a steeler then go and play for another team….one that doesn't have a chance to win a SB. As for AZ, I believe he already when down that road and didn't want to be away from his children. It wouldn't surprise me if the FO and James have a verbal agreement in place.

If they want to chase one last paycheck and look like Franco did in Seattle? More power to 'em.

I think Harrison is in this for more than a paycheck.

If Ike and Troy follow Dick to Tennessee, he's done us a favor.

I agree. He can have them both, especially Ike.
I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest. If you can't take it, you shouldn't play!- Jack Lambert

Proof that Dick LeBeau should have been shown the door a couple of years ago. Remember, he's the one who said he was comfortable with the players in the secondary at the beginning of last season. I don't know if Ken Whisenhunt knows what he's gotten himself into.

Wait a minute.....where does it say LeBeau is even interested in or has any control over bringing these players in. He's not the GM, HC, or even the DC.

This article is told mostly from Ike's point of view.....and I think he may be dreaming.

His former players love him. Some of them may follow him. Plus, Horton is there so there will be some comfort level. Troy and Ike are done. If they want to go there, more power to them. They are old.

Deebo is probably not going to go there because he wants to stay in Pittsburgh.

Kiesel will try to stay here. But, Tennessee is not as far away as Arizona.

    Who knows.

Maybe they can take Brad Wingberger and Landry Jones with them

sorry bro ... but not sure what else Lebeau could have said other than we are screwed cause we did not draft any talent in the secondary and they guys we have are past their prime and now suck ass ... no coach is going to say that and if he does he will be unemployed the next day

He meant what he said; that was the problem. He had some draft input.
